Great app to learn German
Vince PT

It's a very practical one compared to other language learning apps. They offer short stories in German that is fun to read & easy to learn new vocabulary in the context. Happy to find this app!

Different but very good

Great to maintain German.

Great, highly recommend
@Britany

This is a great app in an interesting and easy to use format. I think the variety of relevant story choices and available grammar lessons provide a fun way to engage the German vocabulary in context. Highly recommended to maintain or spruce up your German language skills!

Great app

This is a great app. I’ve been using the app for two months now and I’ve had great experience with it. Today when I opened the app and tried to read a story, the story did not show. I tried restart and open it again but I still can not open a story. It’s just blank. Please fix this.

There are just simple and very short texts available for free, it could be better if you update the free stories daily because some ppl like me are not able to buy the app.

No solution, no refund
Boerbeol

I really enjoyed the application. It began to have issues a short while ago, late October. There was just a blank screen and no matter what I did, it changed nothing. When I was able to read the articles, they were only the free articles, although I paid $41 to be a premium content subscriber. After many messages back and forth with the app designer, still no solution. I don’t believe they fully understand what it is that is wrong, due to the fact they are asking me to perform a number of actions that are not possible (“select this after you do this and you will see this icon. Select this icon and you should be able to read premium content”). I don’t see these icons and I have sent screenshots to allow for better understanding of what it is that I am seeing. Still, they instruct me to follow their instruction and watch a video demonstration on how to correct the problem. Asked for a refund but no response.

Great app, just not enough new content

I like the app, but I wish they would increase the number of articles they publish each day.

Real language lesson

I’m taking German lessons and loving it but I didn’t feel like I was learning the natural language. Readle is helping me to really grasp the structure and vocabulary because it is the SAME articles native Germans are reading, it’s just at my skill level.

This app is perfect in both FREE & subscription versions

I’m so grateful to have come across this app. I purchased a couple of digital German books “for beginners” so that I could start reading now that I’ve started studying German but I realized I’m still too early along in the learning process to be able to read even the “beginner” books. Here, stories are nice and short, easily digestible, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Each story is accompanied by its reading level: A1, A2, B1, B2, etc. I can easily click on an A1 story and be rest assured that I’ll be able to handle it, while also being exposed to new words and never growing bored. On top of that, they have tabs within each story - a section for vocabulary terms specific to the story, a little section on some grammar tips, and even a quick mini quiz to test your knowledge of the gender of a few nouns found in the story. I would’ve liked it if the quizzes were a little longer, and maybe even asking a reading comprehension question or two (ideally, with both the question and answer in German), but I really can’t complain. I like to click on the vocabulary section before I begin reading/ listening to the story. It helps me start off on the right path, and I go through each of the other sections following my reading. You can click to listen to the pronunciation of any word in the vocabulary tab and just as well anywhere within the story tab. Yes!! You can adjust the speed to a slower pace to help you better understand the audio recording if it suits you. You have the option to choose from a small selection of free stories which are constantly reset with new ones, and you can pay a subscription fee (with two options for pricing - and an annual price that is unbelievably reasonable!!) for full access to all stories. I’m using the free version now, and plan to purchase the subscription once I attain a higher level of reading. I’m very happy with this app and very happy with the pricing offered. This app offers an immense amount of value. I highly recommend it if you are looking to learn German.

Enjoyable

Although I am relatively new to the app I enjoy the articles that are at the level of the learner. I LOVE the listening portion as that really helps to tune the ear to the German language.
