Great Idea!

I love that you can follow along with a story and stop to look up any word that might be unclear. Very good way to get ‘live’ practice with the normal speed!

Great for different learning styles

minimac004

One of my favorite German learning apps to date. It mixes context-based learning of vocabulary and grammar with the option for flashcard-like memorization/reinforcement of user selected words. In addition, users have the opportunity to work not only on reading but hearing comprehension as well with the “play sound” feature at the top of each article. The articles are interesting and cover a diverse array of topics to keep the user engaged. Overall, I think the concept and execution of this app is one of the best I’ve come across in my language learning journey thus far.

Reminiscence

Super Application. It reminds me of similar story telling apps in my childhood.

Fantastic German App

mfride

I recently downloaded this app and love it. It uses current relavant news stories to offer German instructions, with an emphasis on vocabulary and grammar. Better than Duolingo or Busuu.

Great for all reading levels

Thisonepersonwhousesthisapp

My wife and I are learning German. Our levels are different and this app has reading levels from beginners to advanced. This app is also the smoothest reading app. If you don’t know a word just click on it and it will show you what it means. AND EVEN better is the fact that it shows what a separable prefix verb means. In German there are many verbs that that split a verb. brennen-to burn ausbrennen- to burn out.....Most apps will just show what brennen means and thus translate wrong. The fact they took the time is very impressive!!!! Now the downside..... After reading 100+ stories... there is no way to filter by unread. After a while you have to scroll pretty far down. And heaven forbid you accidentally press back while reading because then you have to down scroll till you find it again. This needs to be fixed.

Love this app

Herr Fognozzle

The stories make you think in German. The exercises strenthen the use of correct articles….so far very good for short bursts of learning….better use of time than videospielen

Grammatically poor

alipa0046

The only drawback is in my idea the grammar teaching part, it just teaches and then no questions or quiz in order for us to sink in, however, the process is flawless for vocab strengthening, Thank you.

For beginners and intermediate learners

mohaaned

I found this app very useful to improve my language where you find short stories.

Not bad

Patfarlow

For some reason you cannot scroll through the flashcards and I have to hit the back button every time which is pretty annoying.

the best app ever created

shane meyer

this german learning app is undoubtedly the best app ever created. I just wish the article could be a little bit longer
