There are two modes in the game. The first mode is about spelling the dolch sight words. You'll hear the word and you must move the ladybug around the screen to correctly spell the word you hear. 1 point for each correct letter in order and you lose a point for every wrong letter. What is your highest score for completing 10 words? Press the settings button to choose which level of words to include.
The second mode times how long it takes you to munch up all the bugs. Great for learning hand to eye coordination in small children and those with disabilities.
Both of these modes are great ways for young children to practice spelling, hand to eye coordination and fine motor skills.

While I like that these are Dolch site words, there is no choice. The game starts and we can't select the word list we want, nor can we go back to a main page. The game just keeps going. The snap shots that I looked at had a list of grade levels. I assumed that meant I could choose what list my child does. I'm disappointed.

neat little app. Readoholic - You can select the words you want on the title screen, just press the settings button before you play. Once you've finished you can change which words you want. but you have to go through 10 words first. A back button would be good, but I think it would get in the way of the game and you'd accidentally press it, so I can see why it's been kept more simple.
