Reviews

Works well

While the sorting options for TV seasons never seem to quite give the result I'd like (I think some more work is needed there), this does its job well. It's great having my whole music library, and a good amount of video, with me when traveling. I'd like better integration for copy-protected (DRM) files, but perhaps that's an iOS 7 limitation.

RIGHT NOW, A TOTAL POS
Happy w/Radio 5-0

As of right now, I want to scream!!! Really??? No instructions whatsoever?!?! WTH?!?! How do I move my files from my laptop and iPhone onto your $249 device?!?! Where are your instructions?!? Each topic I click on in your App freezes up. I'm about to return this to the store.

So bad it could have been developed by Micro$oft
Son of Disgruntled

No instructions whatsoever. No help. Minimal menus. You have to figure out everything yourself. Even short videos will not stream without interruption.

It's really as bad as everyone says
Wukong2

Minimal instruction. Will not connect to my iPad. Freezes or crashes constantly. After two days (!) managed to upload photos, and now cannot view them. This app needs major, major work just to get to the level of functional.

Lacie / Seagate, seriously!

For the record this is the first negative review I have ever taken time to post. I have the same issues with your NAS software for my 2big 6T NAS & now the Fuel Drive software. Fuel was my solution because ur NAS software does not work as advertised so I paid $300 thinking this would at least get me 1Tb of data for traveling. Not sure what I was thinking.... Same issues, same bad iOS Api!!!! Lacie, good hardware + horrible software = a POS product!!!! Beware buyers ,for the money, but you will be much better off just upgrading to 128g on ur iOS device or using a USB-Lightning from a mini SSD drive (Monster has a tiny 500g that works great but need lighting & it's 2x the price).....Sad, the headache Lacie causes with this product that is completely unreliable & useless IMO.

A bit to finicky for a consumer product
Bluesuumer

Even as a 25+ yr IT guy it's a bit hard maneuvering from various platforms to this device. It's also a bit unstable a can be DoSed with big copies. When working it's nice and as advertised but no one is giving this to there parents as a useful device, it would be viewed as crap. Beware

Good app

Better than Seagate media app

Best
Higuamo

Excellent, but should be easy and friendly to the user! The actual version leaves a lot desire!

Total crap
Albanydoc

I almost never post negative reviews. I bought a 2tb Fuel to backup my iPad and iPhone and have movies ready to play on flights. They claim you can effortlessly move files. There is nothing effortless about this app. I was able to move files while connected to my computer. But the point is wireless with your mobile device. Does not work at all. Total waste. Stay away until this app is fixed.

hideous

i would really expect better design and functionality from lacie. the fuel drive is beautiful and its a great idea but the app itself is painful both in design and functionality, which ruins the whole experience. they really need to do a better job, folder and media icons are terrible, the player is ugly and impractical, everything needs to be pressed 3 times to work, and why do i need to see all the bin and log files??? how is that helping a clean interface and organization of a 2TB drive? theres such an abundance of beautifully designed apps out there that its schocking that a company like lacie cant hire someone to make a nice practical interface, and they actually pride themselves in catering to the mac / apple crowd that chooses these products because of their design. disappointed, this app is a deal breaker
