Scientific evidence states that putting kids on any type of diet leads to MORE obesity and most importantly, leads them down the path to eating disorders. This is terrible. Don’t download it. Do your RESEARCH. shame on you weight watchers.

Children are 242 times more likely to develop an eating disorder than type 2 diabetes. Children also NATURALLY gain weight during puberty. The DIET this app promotes for CHILDREN has DANGEROUS & SEVERE consequences that take a lifetime to ATTEMPT to undo and overcome. Please do not download this app. Allow your children to be children by giving them the opportunity to learn to trust their bodies and engage in body positive behavior.

This app deserves 0 stars. There are other ways to encourage kids to be healthy than putting them on a diet. Weight loss diets don’t work and it’s sickening to see how far WW will go to make their company bigger.

There is already evidence that proves that intentional weight loss focusing on restriction of any food items not only is ineffective over a period of 5 years for 95% of people but also caused eating disorders for a lifetime.

This app is ineffective and helping children learn better eating habits. It is NOT a healthy habits, healthier lifestyle app - it is strictly for weight loss and totally misses the mark on wellness.

Teaching children that some foods are “better” or “worse” than others is so dangerous. Children don’t need diets. They need support and love from their FAMILY.

I wish that it was the point system like in the regular weight watcher app. The lights system doesn’t really work. It’s super vague. If I like to modify my foods or I don’t know how many portions something is it will be difficult to track.

Labeling foods as good or bad is detrimental to your mental health. Leave kids alone. If your child is overweight provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables, limit added sugars and encourage activity for FUN! Model the behavior you want your children to have. A lifetime of restricting, yo-yo dieting and food shame/fear is not a life.
