Inconvenient to use the app in portrait.

strngbirdx

I do Kenken in the paper every day. I download the newspaper in a PDF and read it in landscape, and do the puzzles in landscape. In do everything on my iPad in landscape. You see where I’m going with this? One of the standard things an iPad app is supposed to do is rotate to a landscape mode. Every app that I use on my iPad does this. I won’t use an app that doesn’t do that.

Love the game, HATE the gui

JerseyJEH

This company had a gui that I purchased waaaay back in iPhone 4 days, and that gui was flawless. This gui? Piece of doo doo. Have been using it for over a year and it still pisses me off all the time. Please hire someone to fix it.

Too many Ads

JLataria

Good game but there are too many ads. Will be uninstalling it just because of that reason.

Incessant problems with this game

Pfmfl

Sometimes it works fine, and sometimes it goes nuts. It insists on writing in wrong numbers, and won’t respond to key presses. Restarting the iPad sometimes fixes this, but never for long; deleting and re-installing the game makes no difference. The problem seems to have started with iOS 12.2.

Really fun

I really like this game even though I just got a little bit ago. I like how they put together souduko and math

Perfect Ken Ken app

Igotztwins

Love that you can choose from so many options. Beginner to extremely challenging. I’d rather do puzzles than a video game. Great way to switch gears when I need a break too. I love Sudoku, and a co-worker recently shared a puzzle with me. I’m hooked and this app is perfect for me. Thank you!

Fun, but limited

drscar

Well, I’ve finished the game, and so I feel completely confident to give this 3-star review. When I say that I finish the game, I actually mean that I finish the game. There are no more puzzles left for me to do, despite paying for a “unlimited option.” The game is certainly fine, but it has some significant limitations. For instance, I purchased the “unlimited” package, only to find out that the games are not in fact unlimited. So, I have no idea what the developers intend to do once the subscription runs out, because if it is truly unlimited there should have been more games to be downloaded. There is no reason to buy another package, since more games would have already been included, right? This is quite disappointing. As far as gameplay is concerned, probably the biggest problem with this application is the fact that the undo option is completely broken. If you accidentally typed in the number, and hit the undo option, it will backtrack anywhere from 2 to 3 moves and highlight a different square, and often switch from pencil marks to entry mode on a whim. This becomes abnormally silly and frustrating when you’re trying to do a timed test. Overall, it’s good and fun, but ultimately falls short.

Greatly enjoying this... as addictive as sudoku!

bill the video guy

Nice logic puzzle and nicely implemented mechanics of play. Thanks!

Tons of fun but slightly clunky app

Quackum Mechanic

I love the game. Clever and challenging. 5 stars. 4 stars because the app, though better than the NYT version, still needs improvement. Sometimes it doesn’t switch properly between candidate mode and fill mode and that’s annoying.

No more new puzzles?

I supposedly have a year long subscription with unlimited puzzles, but I stopped getting additional expert 9 x9, the only ones I do. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and now there’s ones labeled new in red, but won’t let me play them saying I have 0 puzzles yet. And it won’t let me buy more since I supposedly have a subscription.
