What is KenKen? This amazing brain exerciser is a grid-based logic puzzle and math game that is frequently described as "sudoku on steroids." How do you play? It’s as EASY as tic-tac-toe... For a 3x3 puzzle, use the numbers 1-3; for a 4x4 puzzle, fill in with numbers 1-4; for a 5x5 puzzle, use the numbers 1-5, and so on. Do not repeat a number in any row or column. Complete rules are available in the app for your convenience.
A Little KenKen History: KENKEN was developed in 2004 by (no, not two guys named Ken) acclaimed Japanese mathematics educator Tetsuya Miyamoto. His goal was to improve his students’ math and logic skills. And what better tool than a puzzle? So he developed one that would be understandable, fun, and challenging for people of all ages and skill levels. Most importantly, he wanted the puzzle to encourage independent thinking, emphasizing logic, reasoning, concentration, and perseverance. His puzzles immediately met with unbelievable success and are now used the world over for kids, adults and the elderly. KenKen has proven to be one of the world's best brain exercises for people of all ages, and can now be found in over 200 publications worldwide.

I love the Ken-Ken App because it’s my go-to for puzzles and offers varying levels of difficulty which I use according to how much time I have.
Sometimes the numbers and options are at the bottom of the screen and sometimes the numbers and options appear in a box in the middle of the screen with some numbers in gray. There seems to be no reason that sometimes it is one place and sometimes another. And no reason why different numbers in the box are different colors. It gets annoying not knowing where to look for the numbers right away. I prefer the bottom because then the box with the numbers doesn’t block my view of the puzzle board. Why isn’t it consistent?
The interface for entering numbers and notes is a little awkward which may make it difficult for young children; however, it is an excellent tool for teaching math and logic. Can be used for elementary students through adults.
Really loved and enjoyed the game. But every time I start a puzzle my phone began to heat up. I can not play for even 2 mins since my device is too hot. It never happened with other apps. I am afraid this app is attacking my phone.
I really think the game will be better with EVERY level for free cuz I only have 15$ plz short the price a little but besides for that I have been really enjoying my self and can rage a little but good game and I was confident for making this 4 star rate and keep up the good work and great game so far Sincerely hunter age 7
I’ve really enjoyed learning this game and disagree that guessing is necessary, as others have suggested. And I love taking my time to get it right - no pressure from speed. I can put the puzzle down and revisit it later with fresh eyes to see the next move. The expert level 9x9 can take me several attempts to get right, but it is all math and logic. My record is 72 cumulative minutes on the first attempt - but who cares!
I’m only 8 years old and I’m playing this app! So well made, super hard puzzles, and tons of puzzles! I’m glad to have an app like this so thank you for making this awesome app! P.S. it’s fun, too! Love, Hugo
