I love this app. It is perfect for beginners! Highly recommended. Look no further, this is what you need!

Learning methodology is great

I have took some guitar lessons in the past but never stuck with it nor practiced - just too impatient at the time. Finally decided to do some research and take an online course and all points led to Justin Guitar. As compared to some of the lessons I have taken in the path, most teachers I have her always start off with scales and you build with that. Justin starts with the open chords and builds off that instead which is definitely a better way to go (at least in my opinion). He focus on changing between chords and knowing which chords to work on are helpful. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the Learn a song feature is not great on this app. If he had a video for each one, it would be great but he does not and the app deal is more like a guitar hero thing - it’s not great. I have generally referred to the songs he suggests and go to Marty Music on YouTube to learn to play the songs. Anyways, that being said, Justin is an amazing teacher and his methodology is fantastic!

Easy to follow

Justin is slow, methodical, and clear. I’m a 57 year old beginner and after 3 weeks I’m starting to get comfortable changing chords and my accuracy is improving! Thanks Justin!

Great guitar app

I picked up the guitar when I was 39 years old. I am 43 and love playing. I get better every time I play. I tried “Yousician” which was pretty good Because they offer a lead guitar path to follow as well as rhythm. But when I tried Justin guitar I like it so much I bought their subscription. Well worth it best money ever spent.

Best on the Web

I started trying to learn in earnest last year. Read a number of reviews and went with Guitar Tricks. They had really good Lessons however they are very unfocused and unstructured. I need structure to learn and clear objectives to advance to the next stage. I ended up wasting a lot of time with them. I learned more in two months with Justin than I did in six months with Guitar Tricks. The other site is better suited for someone with more experience and who have the time to play all day.

Keep at it

This is an excellent guide for beginners. If you don’t get it right away, keep practicing.

Lessons that are actually worth it!!

Justinguitar is everything it promises to be. I’m an absolute beginner who can’t afford to do lessons right now, so I would have settled for something just alright, but this guy really delivers a full and well organized program FOR FREE. I’m learning so much, at my own pace, and the quick ability to learn songs is awesome!! I’ve been playing for two weeks and am already playing a song I love. (Blondie, The Tide is High.) When I get some money I will be SURE to help pay for what I’ve learned and make sure it stays for free. This is what the internet is all about, and I love justinguitar for contributing this immense and quality service to beginner guitarists everywhere. You rock!!!

Best beginner guitar course available.

I worked my way through all of the exercises and went from nothing to the ability to jam with friends.

Just what I needed!

Going 1,000 miles, one tiny step at a time!

Great course, tons of fun, and designed to help the most nervous newbie gain confidence. Justin seems to be always at your elbow, ready to steady you as you learn so that you don’t pick up bad habits. (Practice makes permanent for sure!) He’s also very ready to help you have fun as you learn, even if you only know two chords. These lessons, and my practice inbetween, are my favorite times of the day. Well done, Justin!
