The way Jack’D has tried to up sell users into buying a Pro subscription is really despicable. Ads are one thing - gotta keep the lights on- but *deliberately* making the app user-hostile as a means of pressuring people into paying you is frankly disgusting. You’re basically saying “you don’t deserve a good user experience unless you pay.” The fact that the app forces you to send one photo at a time is a perfect example of this. It serves *no purpose* other than encumbering the user and frustrating them into buying a subscription. The WORST offense though is blocking. You literally cannot block other users unless you pay them. Getting harassed? Good luck “reporting” them. You’ll literally have no choice but to leave the app bc Jack’d hates its users so much they’d rather lose them than give them the option to block for free. If all this sounds predatory, it’s because it is. Your app is full of dark patterns and transparently desperate for subscription revenue, why else would you add a thousand speed bumps and impediments to using your app if not?

If your profile gets suspended for no reason no one is going to help you get it back up. And if you end up getting it deleted, you still can’t make another profile.
Someone KEEPS using my pictures

I don’t even have a Jack’d but people have been writing me saying my pictures are being used. I then had to make a profile to try to delete the fake one. However after submitting my real picture with my email link 24 hours ago. The fake profile is up. Jack’d needs a way of stopping people from doing this. I swear that make it so easy for catfish folks.

I don’t appreciate how the old version, we were able to block accounts that are harassing us, but now we have to pay for it. That’s unfair and should be free because we shouldn’t have to still be in contact with profiles that are doing such disrespectful things!!

When I try to sign up the tell me to enter my telephone number to get an sms code but when I try to do that I don’t receive any code from Jack’d

Jack’d use to be much more user friendly now the entire platform is overly restricted with too much menus and the operating app just is so poor compared to grindr
