Inspired by really good classic games like Ninja Gaiden, Super Mario and Metroid, Mystery of the J-Werewolf was designed to be as comfortable as holding an old NES controller, but also to use the modern features of iOS devices in unique ways.
A classic platformer made by someone who played lots of them. The old meets the new in this new spin on 2D sidescrollers!

This game is Retina Ready for iPhone/iPod and iPad. Sure, since it's pixel art, all you get will be larger pixels. But, hey: at least we're safe from horrible, blurry interpolation!

As of 1.06, J-Werewolf has 3 touch-screen control options and supports Joypad and some other popular joystick hardware. One of these options should really fit your needs. PLEASE, try them all before writing a review. The controls in J-Werewolf are fine!
J-Werewolf is a great title. It's simple controls and gameplay make it very accessible. It's retro graphics are pleasing to the eye. It's dialogue and premice are very entertaining. Games like these don't come around very often. Games that offer exploration and solid gameplay are two things not often seen together on the app store. It reminds me of great titles like Castlvania and Monster Tale. Great expereinces that are worth replaying again and again.
Fun to play, controls work as well as you could expect on an iPhone. Music and art are awesomely retro. Writing is hilarious!
This game is perfect (other than getting lost super easy). So, everyone please buy it.
This is definitely a must game for fans of Metroid and Metroidesque games like some of the modern Castlevanias, with fantastic platforming, entertaining story and characters, and wonderful environments. It's just a really fun game, and it even has iCade support!
Thank you, but your bug is in another function. Now, it may be related to the fact I'm using an ancient relic of a 3GS, or that I'm jailbroken, or that I'm running 4.3, but the game still crashes on the loading screen. Other people are not having issues, so perhaps compatibility should be restricted to newer devices and latest firmwares until a cause can be pinpointed. No hard feelings, mate.
People should check this game out! If you like Metroid on the NES this game reminds me of that a lot.
