Solid, Blocks Ads, Config Built In

App View

I use it on a PC, iPad, and iPhone. Solid and reliable connections. Configurations are built into the app. There is no need to download OpenVPN or Wireguard certificates for servers in various cities. Wireguard is great. The ad blocking is great and blocks ads in every app. I disabled Safari ad blockers as they are no longer necessary. In my experience it is fast. In some cases it increases the quality of the connection. They rapidly respond to email questions—not scripted nonsense. However, it has been a long time since I had to ask them anything. I’ve tried 5 others. This is my favorite by far. It is not the cheapest, but now I’m done fussing with issues and other ad blockers. The setup is unusual. I have an email address and password for the website. They provide a code to use in their app.

New Update Crashes Every Time I access it!

RomanTribune

New Update crashes every time I click on the app. I can’t login. I can’t choose a server. I can’t get anti tracking to work. I’ve been a member for more than two years. Please fix!

Garbage. Slow, and doesn’t work with streaming

AlexanderX027

It’s 2020 folks, time to rev up your server count and get it working with streaming services. No point of a sometimes on VPN. I recommend ExpressVPN, also transparent. Proven no logs (server seizures by authorities).

Very poor update

M.S.H.

Foolishly I updated this app despite some bad reviews. Upon using version 2.0.1, I was first told that my account had expired. A check on their website confirmed otherwise. Then I logged out and logged back in... only to be told that too many devices are in use, which I know to be false. Very unhappy — now looking into other providers.

Newest update has broken the app *UPDATED*

SickNic

<update> After submitting a few crash reports to IVPN, the developers got back to me with instructions on how to “downgrade” to the previous version of IVPN (linked in the developers response below), which works just fine on my 6S Plus. They mentioned it was an issue with the iPhone 6s series and they are working on a fix for the next update. For now the previous version works perfectly and I’m very happy with the the VPN and with IVPNs customer service. </update> I’ve been using IVPN for a few years now on my 6S+ and everything has been great up until they updated the app 2 weeks ago. They updated the design of the app, which looks fantastic, but now crashes whenever I click on anything - the settings icon, the connect icon slider, the server. It all crashes and restarts. Eventually after 5 or 6 attempts I can at least connect, but I can’t change servers or mess with any of the settings. As of right now it’s pretty much barely functioning. This was on iOS 13.7, and the newly released iOS 14, so it wasn’t just the new phone update that broke it. I’d update this review to 4 stars if they can get the functionality back.

It just plain does not work on iOS.

Internaut

Constantly attempting but failing to connect, requiring app delete and reinstall. Contacted support and the reply was an issue in iOS. Issue persists in latest release.

Fast, easy, trusted

CaliRya

I read about this VPN on the New York Times Wirecutter website, as one of their top picks. I’m so glad I discovered it! Great VPN. Very fast and secure. I love how simple it is, just doing exactly what I need. There is one little issue I’ve encountered mostly when using the WireGuard protocol. Usually when I first turn on the VPN, websites won’t load and there appears to be no internet connection. I have to turn the VPN off and back on, then it suddenly works.

Leaks DNS

Nathan.ns

With some servers on openvpn it leaks the dns also with wireguard it doesn’t matter what protocol you connect to it also leaks the dns!

Best VPN on the planet!

PeterAValencia

Initially downloaded for general increased privacy, but kept it “always-on” over the last month and there is no discernible speed loss, only adds 10-20ms ping on Wireguard and blocks most ads without a hitch. Unlike NordVPN and Mullvad, I’m able to login to my credit monitoring service, my bank and my wireless carrier as well. The price is high but if you’re looking for something reliable, with great policy features in place, that you want to keep running without worrying slowing down your internet, IVPN is where it’s at. *Two feature requests: - Support for Netflix/Hulu streaming - Amazon FireTV support

Great VPN provider

cybexwrist

IVPN cost a bit more than other VPN providers but you get what you pay for like they said the servers are super fast like they advertise. Did a speed test I was able to download at max speed my modem allowed me to which was 360mbps while other VPN like TorGuard only allowed 60mbps. There IVPN app is good but has bugs that need to fix. Every time I open my phone to do something the app suppose to reconnect to the vpn server but 30 to 40% of the time it doesn’t have to go in the app and do it manually I hope they fix this soon. But overall they offer great service and the app does what I need it to do.
