My Favorite YouTube Player also on M1 Macs

Of all the iOS apps that I can install on my M1 Mac, this is the one I am most excited about! It works really well - even with Picture in Picture support and is a better user experience than having to use the YouTube web interface. Thank you and keep up the amazing work :)

Where did the API Key option go?

You might already be aware but Comments stopped working again ? I know it’s probably YouTube with another one of each I needed updates just a break other peoples platforms. However I’m also confident that you’ll take care of fixing the bug as soon as you’re able like you always do. I appreciate your consistent attention in keeping your app running as smoothly as possible for all your users. As soon as a fix is released I will make sure to return and change my review to five stars. Thank you for all of your help.

Some Server Error Ocurred

Can no longer share to Ivory. It opens Ivory, and then opens Safari. Going back to Ivory displays the message “ Some Server Error Ocurred”

Background play works great but playlists are pretty much broken. Anytime I try playing a video in a playlist the next video is stuck on only one video out of the entire playlist. So it doesn’t cycle through the videos, it’s only able to play the second video on its own. Please fix!

Good app but lacks polish in some areas

Overall I like the app and it does as advertised. My main gripe is that occasionally nothing will load due to a “sever error”. Said errors happen frequently enough to be annoying. My other problem is the playlist feature. The “next up” feature is blatantly broken. I would love to see the “playlist” feature get a overhaul. If all these issues could be resolved I would consider this a 5 star app.

Sluggish app revived by deleting / reinstalling

Note to others: follow the instructions to request your own YouTube API key. It’s relatively painless and ensures you won’t get a “quota exceeded” message. PRO TIP: if this app runs poorly, enable iCloud Synd and try deleting and reinstalling. For a while, the app has been loading slowly and becoming at times unresponsive (although videos themselves played smoothly). It would also make my phone run very warm and drain the battery. After deleting and reinstalling, everything runs well again. The iCloud sync feature also ensured that none of my viewing history was lost. The app runs great and plays non-music content very well (not the developer’s fault; YouTube is tagging songs for YouTube Music and this requires a different type of API access). I use it to mainly watch a ton of how-to videos, some live events, and ASMR. I appreciate being able to turn off auto-advance when I fall asleep listening to something.
