Brilliant!

Practical Star

Feature rich and easy to use. It took about 15min of exploration to figure out how to use the app (without referring to the manual). It hasn't crashed on my iPhone 6.

Serious program finally

MrPebius

I tried about ten mostly paid apps for editable (path-based) drawing and this was the only serious app, being way more sophisticated and cleanly laid out than the others, despite its lack of regular updates. There's a steep learning curve as you discover how the big detailed settings/commands window that floats over your imagery works. Seemingly missing from the online manual from the web site was the simple ability to select two adjacent control points by just clicking the curve section between them. The option to include “offset handles” let's me manually align edits on a tiny iPhone without my finger blocking the center of action! Just WOW. The interface now strikes me as being ingenious. I haven't figured out a kludge for the missing rectangular/polar array command. To access the seemingly missing Cut command, evidently needed to change the layer of an existing object, I am first making a copy and then using the delete command before pasting into a different active layer. Request: in between the existing nudge arrows also fit rotate buttons that I can double click to adjust the degree increment. Tip: you can both rotate and move and scale within a single selection by tapping back out of the rotate mode with a tap on one of the four rescale circles so you can once again drag the object around. I design jewelry these days, on paper, but dynamically editable shapes are what this program now also offers me on the fly and when I am crashing in bed, nearly asleep when the last thing I want to do is turn on a light and search for my notebook. Serious bug: odd dynamic rescaling of existing forms kicks in whenever I turn on Continuous Insert mode in order to very rapidly sketch a bunch of line segments. UPDATE: Now fixed in update! Missing feature: locking aspect ratio doesn't work for images so I can't do page layout!

Light weight app that works well on iPhone, iPad, & Mac

ArsAstronautica

I was looking for a respectable vector drawing app that runs on iOS & OS X, and support iCloud. iDesign fits the bill quite nicely. I am working on a number of projects and this app allows mr to work on them on iPhone/iPad/Mac. Reasonable feature set.

Great App, Great Support

Wolfdog649

I've had the app for about 3 months. There is a semi steep, but short learning curve for those of us who aren't in the business of design. I bought it to plan for a new home we're building. And I should say I'm using only a fraction of its capabilities. There are great demonstration videos and even more importantly when a question about file management arose ( turned out to be operator error) I received a prompt email response to my query.

Good App but....

This app is nice. I took me a bit to get used to it, but that was due to me, since my graphics program is Visio. There are a few lacking features that hamper a 5 star review. 1. It does not allow you to store custom shapes, and it will not let you copy a custom shape from one file to the next. 2. When an object is copied, it will only paste directly over the copied object. This is not to bad, unless you copy a group of objects, then it gets a bit tricky (impossible for me) to move the group to the new location all in one move. It is one piece at a time.? 3. You can not add pages to a file. So you have to make a new file for the new page you want. 4. It also crashes when to much data is selected to move or copy, but I have not lost anything during those crashes, Microsoft should hire these folk. This app is nice and worth the cost if you want to design something instead of playing a game on your iPad☺️

For "FieldCAD" his is great for SCIENTISTS!

I am a international (Panama) field ornithologist working for a small NGO. I required a app that could work on a iPad, is easy to use, has plenty of options, short learning curve and most importantly REASONABLY PRICED! This is the app! I do not have cell or active GPS signal on my iPad in field as I work in very remote areas of Panama. I have, although, a great need for an app that I can quickly and accurately map territories of subject species. This app works wonderfully for scientific application and should be part of any field scientists app bundle! Most I,ports fly, when I had a problem with he app, developers emailed me back in less an 10min with a resolution. That is e service I expect and rarely get. Thanks to the developer team and thanks for a great app!

Needs Pdf import

Excellent

I've been a fan of this app since I first found it a few years back. With all the improvements he has made thru the years it is a great program that I use for my home as well as my needs at work. The last update had an issue and I emailed the developer, and he worked very hard with me until he came up with a solution. He is very pleasant to deal with and I would recommend this app to any one looking for a great design program at a great price.

Buggy

Sculptor of light

Crashes all the time and does not work very well with iCloud and the Mac app if at all but in a pinch, for something simple, it's ok.

This app changed my life.

There is no other vector drawing app this robust. Some have better UI, but simply cannot compete with these capabilities. I used this app to launch my business and freelancing career. Lookup @jeffreythelin or teyleen.com all of my design primarily start in this app. ITS SO GOOD.
