Enjoying this app very much (first review on iTunes) especially with ability to import/export into Novamind/ibluesky. Few things will make this perfect: 1. syching both ways when iphone is plugged to pc without the extra steps. *2. locked landscape. I tend to mind map when lying down sideways. 3. fill color is colorpicker as squares so can get same color each time 4. smoother zooms *most immediate update would be great-- others can wait (I think all apps should come standard with lock option for landscape/portrait views) Thank you for a near perfect product!

Deceptively easy to use, seamless, and unintrusive

This apps' ease of use and deceptive simplicity shows that a lot of work and thought was put into it. No seeking of instructions or blindly punching buttons necessary. I barely noticed the working of the program as I mind map. I quickly add branches by finger clicking and typing in my thoughts. The program is even less intrusive than my desktop Novamind program. When I'm done, I easily e-mail the file to myself. When I reached my desktop, I received an e-mail with my attached file. The e-mail explained that the file is available in 7 different formats and why: PNG image, PDF, Outline in text, Novamind, BSKY XML, OPML, and Freemind MM. Seamless and unintrusive. Truly mindmapping for dummies!

Fabulous!!

This is absolutely fantastic! I had to sit in the doctor's office for several hours the other day and started work on a detailed mind map while waiting. I later emailed it to myself and opened it in NovaMind… Voila! There was my mind map! A huge timesaver and I can now brainstorm anywhere. This is one of my best and most useful purchases from the App Store. Very easy to use.

Great App!

Simple. Elegant. Useful. Works perfectly with NovaMind mind mapping software. Excellent customer service too.

Consider an undo delete button. To revert last delete. I lost some info while still learning app.

Elegant

An earler review has it right: "Simple. Elegant. Useful." If you are looking for a mindmapping app, you should at least check out some of the video reviews of iBluesky available online. Then you can decide if the app fits your style of mindmapping. My favorite aspects of the app are the uncluttered interface and the ease of adjusting and rearranging branches.

Great App to Partner with NovaMind!

I use NovaMind Platinum on my MacBook Pro and utilize this app. on my iPod Touch when I'm away from my computer! Simple interface. Easy to use. Great companion for my robust computer app. I have used it for everything from brainstorming a full weekend retreat to a simple shopping list. Exports very nicely to Nova Mind. The only short coming I have is the imports are a bit cumbersome, not as simple as the exports. Highly recommend this app, especially if you use NovaMind on your computer!

Too limited

I don't understand all the glowing reviews. I've had this app for a while and I really wanted to like it, but I never use it because it's just too limited. You pretty quickly reach the edge of the page. When you add a node it often places it in a bizarre place. It gets pretty sluggish. And you can't set the color or size or font or any other attributes at all, or add notes or have multi-line text. And you can't backup or email your ideas without sending it to the company's servers. It feels like this should be the free "lite" version. For any project simple enough for this to handle, I don't see why you'd need an app at all. It's a pity, but I've gone back to using the notepad app until something better comes along.

Needs to stay competative.

I bought this because it worked with Novamind, but it hasn't kept pace with it's rivals and charges too much for a second rate app. It does an entry level job but charges a top of the list price. For a $10 we expect more, and more effort to improve. The developer should spend $7 and see the apps that are making them look like also rans. Pick up the pace, iPad is coming and well all be looking to see who is creating the best aps for the price and I can't recomen this at this time.

Incredible for self-therapy, too.

I use this program all the time. Not just for projects, but for introspection, too. When I have a gnawing doubt, or am conflicted over a choice... you know how it goes. It's wonderful and elegant, and they send you tutorials. How can you lose? It's also a paradigm shift. No more outlines, for example. It also just "feels" right - the bubbles look a lot like the neurons in your head; so that makes sense. I haven't had it for long but I'm already starting to rely on it more and more. No telling what uses I'll get out of it. Kind of like when clocks first showed up. At first they were just tinker toys. But - believe it or not - there's a direct connection between clocks and the industrial revolution. Tinkering with those toys started giving us a lot of ideas...
