What people say about the i-Qi meditation timer:

One of my favorite Aps! - As a yoga teacher, I use this often to time postures or savasana at the end of class... I even use it to "play" the bowls to create a gentle waking!

Many uses, beautiful sounds. - I use this app for meditation, naps, going on walks and healing sessions. The beautiful sounds and graphics make for a subtle and gentle reminder of the time.

Sounds are authentic - I have tried several. This timer has the best bowl sounds.

Beautiful, Elegant, Simple - A wonderful way to manage your practice while keeping a busy schedule!

99cents for one digital sound? No thanks

Really hate changes

Even users were just charged a penny per sound, they would probably be put off by the new charges. That's just marketing 101.

From Lovely to Loser

This was not an upgrade. This lovely simple app serves no purpose now. Good news is now I will play with replacements. Don't recommend you install this unless you really, really like cymbals.

And they taketh away.

It's got to be annoying to make an amazing app and then not to be able to make any money off it. However taking away features will cause your users to freak out. This app is amazing and people should pay for it, but I'm glad I read the update notes and didn't upgrade. Honestly though you're charging for short audio files. Oh well.

Do not update!!!!!
Cultivating Light

This was my favorite app before the update. The graphics went from elegant to average and now only one sound! I've already bought the more complicated timer, but this one was so great because of its simplicity. I'm bummed.

Was great now not worth it
GlassWingButterfly

I loved this timer for teaching yoga classes or gardening Etc. Easy to see time at a distance and could set to auto lock screen so it stayed on. Now the lock says ON but does not stay on. I hit play and it timed out went to screen saver. It is worthless now. And I paid once for the app and then again paid to get the full range of bells!!! I want a refund or you need to fix. How many times do Ii need to buy this app? Rip off. You went from five star to zero. B.

Upgrade great
Grateful way

It was a surprise to have to pay for additional sounds, and I really love this app so I don't mind paying .99 for honoring the developer's time and energy. Like the hidden slide features.

Upgrade ruined it
Ebb n' Flow

I wish there was a way to go back to the wonderful previous version. Other reviewers have already outlined the surprising new features of the "upgrade". Gonna delete and look for something different. Wish I was warned to not upgrade.

Oldie but goodie

I'm glad I looked before I updated! I'm keeping the old version; it's perfect the way it is. As for the new one, doesn't look like its going over too well. Sorry, we're cheap!

Do NOT upgrade!
electricwizardess

The latest version eliminated all ending bell noises besides the cymbals, now forcing users to buy alternate chimes. The upgrade description made no mention of this change. I am a longtime user of this app and am thoroughly disappointed by the change. This is a useful app for any meditation practitioner, so I do not want to be too harsh, but the changes included in this latest upgrade disgust me.
