Disappointing

Bought Four

I was very excited to find this app, and the demo pages looked great. Then I tried it and all I could get--even at the slowest speed--were very jumpy videos. Unless I held the phone completely still, which takes away the main use, the result was totally disappointing.

Was once a good app until...

Nice App - but too much $$$

The iPhone XS Max came out. Last time i tried to use it , the app couldn’t use the stabilization as on the previous iPhones. The video bounced so much that the video was unusable. Needs to be rewritten to work better with the newer phones. I can only use it if it’s mounted firmly on a hard surface.

Name is so misleading

PaperWhitney

Should be called “smooth lapse” or something because that’s its only claim to fame. I really just wanted the ability to select the frame rate of my time lapses because my iPhone 8 doesn’t offer any customizable options for time lapses in the native app. Turns out the max on this app is 12x, which it seems is about the same as the native iPhone app. Hyperlapse would imply that it goes really quickly, right? Not so.

Best for Capturing Memories

mountainmove

I’ve been using Hyperlapse since it was released & it’s be far one of the best functional apps I’ve ever used. The option to choose the speed of the timelapse is so great. When I’m recording a timelapse of my newborn, then 2x speed makes his movements look great, or when I was in Iceland this past year, the 8x speed was appropriate to speed up 10 minutes of driving by mountain ranges & convert into a couple of minutes. I also just really think that the negative reviews are based on those users devices & likely too much software that isn’t based from Hyperlapse but from corrupt data or software issues. I’ve never come across any of the negative claims & I just very much appreciate this app!

Video Saving

RebelTheAwesome56734

This app would be good if it had some of the basic functions necessary for a video or photo app to succeed. I went to turn on my Hyperlapse and after 15 minutes of creating a time lapse it stated that the video had stopped due to my storage filling up which I had expected to happen. But when I went to search for the video they had completely deleted it and there is no backup on the app for saved videos. Just because the video cut short doesn’t mean I wanted to delete all the materials. Once this is fixed it would be so much better.

Apparently abandoned app

Ekholbrook

Apparently developers have abandoned this app as it no longer does stabilization Was great on my iPhone 7 but Terrible on xs max. Doesn’t seem to stabilize anymore and smooth out the frames. Basically worthless now.

Horrible not for instagram

A DOG WHO LIKES OTHER DOGS

This will not work on instagram The videos are 0 secs and on instagram the videos have to be 3 secs or more I hope you can fix this

Best there

CandenTheJenkins

The best fun tool!

Abandoned app

The_Real_Boo_Radley

The app does not provide stabilization with iPhone 8+. The app was great on previous versions when it worked though. I look forward to an update that fixes it.

Great for artists - wish it had some more features

Tanooki Lord

I use this all the time for time lapse vids of my sketches. The biggest feature I wish this app would have is: after a video has been processed in the speed you selected, it would be nice to be able to go back to that speed selection and process it in a different speed. Sometimes I like to have longer videos in my IG TV, for example, and a shorter version of it in my regular IG post. The option to re-render a video in a different speed would be fantastic. Another 2nd feature that would be great: very minimal editing options, just in regards to being able to cut out parts of the video that might have some dead air, or even the option to have part of the video in one speed and another part have a different speed! I assume that the devs probably want to keep the app simple, but I feel like these changes would greatly enhance the user experience without complicating the overall design and functions of the app for users.
