I love Hoopla. I love how their selection of audiobooks ranges all over the place, from contemporary best sellers, to surprisingly obscure classics. But I’m having a hard time with the most recent update (Version 4.37). I used to find new books by looking up authors that I liked, and seeing what titles showed up under their name, which was great because Hoopla’s vast selection often includes books I didn’t know the author had written, such as an Agatha Christie style detective novel written by A. A. Milne, who wrote Winnie The Pooh. But now, when I look up authors, it doesn’t show me which of their works are available in Hoopla, it tells me a little about them and gives a list of similar authors. Now, I have to come in knowing what books I’m looking for, no more room for self-directed discovery. I also prefer the Home Screen of the previous version of the app. I don’t really care to see what the latest new arrivals and best sellers are, greeting me as soon as I open the app.

Amazing amount of material all for free! Why pay for subscription services! I am addicted! Tremendous help during my work commute, like car pool friends.

This book is a fresh voice for hurting Christians. If we want real change we need to be real about our brokenness. And we need to believe God that he really does love us and can work for good, even in our pain. If you want to hear the truth in love this books for you.

All I want to do is read the books I have borrowed!! If I close the app and come back to my book, I am unable to read it. Support says several patrons have reported the same issues. Hopefully they figure it out soon.

I have been using this app for years. I don’t know what I would do without it. The selection is vast and I like that I don’t have to wait for audiobooks to become available. I have listened to a few CD’s and watched a couple of videos. But I am here for the audiobooks, since I spend a lot of time in my car. I also like that there doesn’t appear to be a limit to the amount of books you can save to your favorites. I recommend Hoopla to people all the time.
