Efficient, takes the least time to input as you workout

Jason Rachels

Compared to other apps I have tried, this one is nice in that it takes very little time to input what you’re doing in your workout due to auto full from your previous time doing a particular routine. Also has nice quick features for adding new routines or new pieces to a workout. Also, nice graphs showing progress along multiple ways of viewing progress (ie: total volume for an exercise, 1 rep max equivalent, weight and reps completed, etc.). Also, and this is a must for me, you can pay a reasonable price for a lifetime membership vs paying forever which adds to crazy amounts of money over time. (Hopefully that’s still how it works, that’s the way it was for me on 2016.)

Finally!

So I’ve tried at least ten workout tracking apps and after three workouts, this one is the best I’ve found. I like all the pre-loaded exercises and that I can create my own. I only bought the one month to try it out, but I’ll purchase the lifetime once the month is over. Definitely a good investment for me. My one suggestion for the next update is to have the app be able to write to Active Energy in the Apple Health App.

Excellent tracking app!

I have been trying out several apps to track my workouts over the past weeks. Many of them fall short (too complex, limiting, or specialized) or are too expensive for advanced features. I have found ironGAINS easy to use... tracking workouts, creating routines, viewing results... at a reasonable price point. The developer has also been extremely responsive in answering questions and is open to feedback. Thanks ironGAINS!

Best weight training app ever

If your are serious, you will have to pay the low fee to unlock all app features. 100% worth the money. I have tried many and this by far the best!

Massive, App Breaking Bug

ColinTheGoalie

I just want to start off by saying that this is a fantastic app, and I used it for several years and eventually bought the full, lifetime license. However, the app has recently become almost useless as I am unable to exit from any workout screen or the exercise selection menu. Neither of the top left or right corner buttons, such as “finish”, “edit”, “cancel” or “new” work in either screen, and have made the app impossible to use. When you close out of the app, quit, and restart it, the workout pops right back up. The only way I’ve found to get around it at all is by deleting and reinstalling the app, but it immediately gets stuck again when the tutorial prompts you to start a workout. I love he design of this app, but considering I paid for the full version, this bug is very disappointing. I hope it’s fixed quickly.

Would’ve rated 5 stars if it wasn’t for this

Can you make it that we can change the timer after each rep like make it 45 seconds for example as i find it hard to take out my phone and unlock it exactly after i finish my repetitions. It would be really beneficial to have it start at 45 sec as 15 sec is about how much i need to open my phone. Also some workout plans i tried require a custom rest period after some exercises like 1 time it can be a minute and others may be 30 sec. More over i find that the delay from with i can swipe to dismiss the timer is a bit linger for my taste as i see myself swiping twice more often than i think. I really like your app and have been using it for 3 months now and i purchased it as soon as i saw it’s simplistic aproach and really liked it. These thing in my opinion will make an already great app just perfect for my use. Keep on the great work. Louay

Best weightlifting tracker app on the market!

TheDollyman

I have tried most workout tracking apps on the market and this is by far the best. One of the biggest reasons it is the best is due to the amount of control I have over my workouts. I plan my workouts day by day for months in advance and I can set them up and follow them exactly with perfect tracking. I’m able to verify my rest times and stick to them with the standard times between: 60 seconds, 90 seconds, two minutes...anything by 30 second increments. If you want an app to give you some terrible workout it did for you this isn’t it but if you design your own workouts then this is the best app there is. The developer is always open to suggestions to make it better, problem is I haven’t seen anything he needs to add or fix lol. Honestly never had a complaint with it, it has never locked up mid workout or glitched out in any way EVER! Best workout app EVER!

Love it but...

Puddinz

I love it but with this most recent update it seems that the app will not stop running in the background on my Apple Watch, even when I force shut it down on the watch and my phone, it still opens up on the watch. I had to delete it from my watch in order for it to stop.

Early review

I was looking for an app that would basically let me track my progress on my training plan / exercises. So far so good. I like that I can put my own exercises into the app and then each time I do an exercise it’ll tell me how I did last time, did I progress? or regress? I haven’t used it long enough to see all the data that tracks, but I believe it’s gonna give me some very useful information. I opted for the paid version and so far it has been worth it.

Best free version of any fitness app

Great app, has a lot of exercises but missing some. That’s fine I substituted for others and wrote the actual exercise in their note section. Customer service replies quickly and is very helpful and communicative.
