I first thought this was a game and was a little dissapointed when I found out it was a visual novel, but nonetheless it's and intriguing story filled with memorable characters, suspense, mystery, and horror. The way the story writer(s) went about telling the story was perfect. This was unique and engaging, something that so many stories nowadays lack. The music was fairly good as well, and the sound effects they had were great, though they could've had a few more. The art style was neat as well, combining that anime and cartoon look. I intend on buying every Higurashi sound novel that comes out now, and I hope there are many more to come.

I've seen the anime for Higurashi and loved it, and I've always wanted to read the sound novel. I didn't know where to get it, so I thought I would never be able to read it... but then, here it is! Right here! I think the story is great, the translations are great, the app is great, and you get used to the way the characters are drawn. And I mean, the first part is free, so if you're not sure about it, you can get it to try out, and if you don't like it just don't get the next part. So anyways, I'm very happy it is here and I hope I can get Umineko next.

Even for those who have read the manga and watched the anime, I highly recommend reading the sound novels as well. This was far lengthier than the adaptations and managed to immerse me to the point of WANTING to trust Mion and co. despite knowing what was going to happen. My only real complaint is that the art style doesn't seem to fit the mood. The dissonance makes an impact at first, but by the end of the chapter I was tired of being threatened by chibi-esque characters... Still, this is an awesome novel and I can't wait to read the whole story!

I acknowledge that I am not familiar with the manga genre, but this story is horribly slow, graphics and sounds are repetitive, and the grammar is bad! I gave up after reading (I guess) half way through.

I have to admit I'm pretty surprised how much detail the visual novel has compared to the anime! The only difference is it might take some time to get used to the difference in art from Vn to the anime. I hope you'll upload the Visual Novels for Umineko too.

Higurashi is an amazing sound/visual novel, and entirely deserving of it's popularity and fandom. It's a fascinating story, and the artwork is charming. Of course, being a sound novel, extra special attention has been paid to the audio, making a great experience. I wrote SEAMS and they all ready said they are working on Kai, as well! One problem though is that the translation definitely needs some work. However, the person I talked to expressed interest in correcting mistakes, so it's worthwhile for fans who see mistakes in the game to email them and let them know! It would be great if all of the typing errors got fixed; would definitely be one of the best apps in the app store!

Ok first of all, some people are so ungrateful! VN are difficult to find! It's amazing that you made it formated for an iPod! The computer VN are so exspensive and hard to find! Be more greatful!
