Awesome! – HIGURASHI When They Cry(Ep1) Review

Even for those who have read the manga and watched the anime, I highly recommend reading the sound novels as well. This was far lengthier than the adaptations and managed to immerse me to the point of WANTING to trust Mion and co. despite knowing what was going to happen. My only real complaint is that the art style doesn't seem to fit the mood. The dissonance makes an impact at first, but by the end of the chapter I was tired of being threatened by chibi-esque characters... Still, this is an awesome novel and I can't wait to read the whole story!
