I love the game been playing but I wanna just say two things I’m pretty sure some people want added. 1 more tribes that are not purchased with money and instead gems second a co-op mode not like online where your paired with random people instead you can find people to play with you like you can ply with friends and fight against them, and you can also do tournaments off of it with a minimum of 6 people to 18 people basically more people more people in a match. Another thing about it whoever hosts the matches decides how many A.I and if the A.I’s have an alliance

I have a habit of downloading games, playing them for a few hours and deleting them. This is one of a small handful of games I’ve kept for more than a few weeks, and in fact, I’ve consistently enjoyed the game since there were only three tribes. I find it very balanced, challenging, and engaging. Randomized (procedurally generated) maps occasionally produce highly difficult matches from the outset, but overall, maps tend to be unique yet balanced and fun. Tribes are unique (cosmetically and otherwise) and play differently but are largely balanced. I also really enjoy the graphic design of the game. Payments and viewing ads are not required for gameplay and I only watch ads when I want. Most of the content is accessible through regular game play with in-game currency, although I’ve shelled out for the other tribes and been satisfied. I can easily control length of game sessions and I’ve never felt compelled to engage with the game longer than I wanted to or had time for, making it an unobtrusive game I can easily pick up and put back down. Additions to the game are just that, additions in content and gameplay, and have been consistent with what I like about Hexonia (i.e., new content has never dramatically changed the game or reduced my enjoyment). Overall winner for me. That said, I wouldn’t mind if Hexonia worked out some kind of multiplayer system. I also have an idea for a special unit ability in a new tribe- passive area buffs/debuffs. A tribe special unit that enhanced adjacent units or weakened adjacent enemies passively could be very powerful, tactically and strategically. I’d like to see a way for players to engage with developers in sharing ideas they’d like to see in the game. Since Hexonia produces new tribes all the time, part of the fun of the game is the anticipation of seeing a new tribe come out every few months. I thought the developers would surely have run out of good ideas, but they keep surprising. What’ll be next- aliens? monsters? sentient amphibian people? invisible guardians? snowmen? I’m excited to play with future tribes and new unit abilities!

I absolutely love this game and the strategies that are out in it. The only problem I have with it is that I can’t play with friends. Will there be an update in the future that will allow this?

I feel compelled to get a 5-star review out there to counterbalance the overly critical ones. One key criticism seem to be that additional tribes and troops can cost real money. People seem absurdly sensitive to this model. But the devs are quite clear about what you get for free and what you can choose to pay for or earn. It’s a crappy model if you have to keep paying to progress but that is not the case here. You buy (or don’t) more content.simple and straightforward. My only actual, related criticism is some things can only be bought by earning the in-game currency through play - they won’t let me give them real money for that last tribe! Grrr! Anyway, the model used and the prices are completely reasonable and fair. The people complaining just want stuff for free, which is greedy (or maybe they have a completely naïve understanding of value in the software industry). The other main criticism is its similarity to Polytopia. Well, yes, it is. I found Hexonia because I wanted to play a game similar, but not identical to Polytopia after I got tired of playing it. It is definitely the same kind of game, with the same main features. But there many differences of art, rules, and gameplay details — and isn’t that EXACTLY what games in a “genre” are? I don’t get it. I like them both but I find myself playing this one more. Will it get boring eventually? Will there not be enough depth for me eventually? Of course. Again, that is perfectly normal. I am not sure what people expect — but if they are offended by the pricing in this game, there is no way they would pay the hundreds of dollars that a completely original, endlessly enjoyable and somehow infinitely fresh and entertaining would have to cost.

I played on an android for a while. And I recently switched to an iPhone. I don’t see any way to recover an account. It only restores purchases made through apple for an iPhone or purchases through the play store for android. I’d like to have the things I paid for on this phone without having to buy them again. And I don’t see a way to contact the developers about this. I really hope they see this. It’s a great game (with room to improve. Things like maps that aren’t generated, a campaign style game mode, etc.) I’d love to keep playing
