Fantastic!

Was extremely let down by Duolingo’s Chinese course and went here on recommendation. It’s brilliant. Easy, understandable, and with all the right tools to help you succeed. Thanks so much, 10/10.

Need to pay to access regular lessons, not special features

Vocaloid rocks

It is a fun app, however requires payment starting with the lesson “Helping out”. It seems like a premium option wasn’t enough as the normal, generic lessons, not the more specialized kind needs money to continue. Duolingo may lack some of the vocabulary of this app but don’t require you to pay to use

So much better than Duolingo!

This is the best online way to learn Chinese. You get to learn how to say, write, and read the characters!

The best app for learning Chinese at all.

Terribly small font

Z4AM

Fails to recognize Dynamic Type setting on the iPhone and the three font size options in the app are inadequate. So text, especially Chinese characters, is too small to be useful.

Better then ChineseSkill

Thanks

I’m an absolute beginner and if you are consistent I assure you that you’ll learn very well. So far this has been the best Chinese learning application (at least for me) I prefer this one over duolingo a million times. I have to be honest I’m being consistent lately and it’s really working, you don’t realize how much you know until you notice that with what this app teaches you (even just as a beginner) you can already say quite a few things. Props to Hello Chinese, it’s really good.

Great app but...

This is an amazing app for beginner Chinese. The native speaker videos really help develop the sense of how the vocab is used and pronounced in dialogue. My main complaint is that I can’t seem to get past the “Helping others” topic without paying for premium, which is fairly expensive. The description says the main should be available for free, so am I missing something??
