Pulse was my favorite news app. Sadly, linkedin killed it. Heartfeed gets closer to being as good as pulse with each update.
Good start but no updates?

Great start to a replacement for Pulse. I realize it's probably just one person developing the app in his/her free time, but no updates since the app released....really? It's been 6 months and haven't received a single update, yet the app has numerous areas in need of improvement. Would be great to see some updates. The foundation for a great app is there but the devs seem to have thrown in the towel.

Has everything I loved from pre-LinkedIn Pulse: grid view with thumbnails, night mode, nice looking reader mode. Finally!

I don't know that I've ever been so happy to expunge an app as LinkedIn's (now Microsoft's) Pulse, thanks to the superior replacement, Heartfeed! Get the word out, people! I'd prefer a little less space (user-configurable?) between rows of feeds but who can complain?

I had been hanging on to Pulse long after it stoped working well, because I could not find a replacement. This is everything I was looking for and more. I can add the feeds I want, organize, and group them how I want, and view them in a concise overview. This is everything Pulse should have been, but never quite was. Fantastic app, well designed, easy to use, and intuitive.
Finally a Simple RSS Reader written with the User in Mind

Heartfeed is a great RSS reader. Not since LinkedIn purchased and subsequently ruined Pulse has there been such an intuitive and simple RSS reader. Simple features such as a mark all as read button and iCloud syncing of feeds make the experience that much better. Hopefully your read articles sync at some point too. I also love the layout of articles from your feed. It makes finding an article that interests you a simple experience without having to "flip" through a bunch of garbage. One request I would have though, is a way to customize the font size (or use the iOS system font size). The font the app uses at the moment is a bit large. If your looking for A simple RSS experience, the give Heartfeed a shot.

The Best Pulse Replacement App Every

After LinkedIn destroyed my favorite app I found this gem! Totally worth the in app purchase! Requests: - way to pick a color for the background (white is too bright at night and black looks funny - also maybe a way to auto switch based on time zone so night reading is easier on the eyes) - change in app purchase to outright purchase for family share compatibility - Apple Watch app so I can check feeds on the go! - have text scale with slider (right now text size is fixed when using the scale slider) Keep up the great work! Your winning over a lot of users!
