It’s really good but leveling up should be a bit easier

Fun

Seems to be a fun game; however, I’m just starting so don’t know to much about it

Fun, but frustrating

This is a pretty standard build-your-village type of game. You unlock new buildings/resources/areas to explore as you level. You can trade items with other players (although not directly, you have to hope someone wants what you are selling or is selling what you are looking for). It does a good job of keeping you busy while giving you breaks while things are in cool downs. Unfortunately, it can sometimes lock you out of advancing for a while through no fault of the player. There are certain resources (magical charms) that can only be gotten randomly (as a loot drop from monster fights, in the gambling house, or as a random chance from the gnome or feeding animals). These resources are necessary for things like increasing your inventory space (absolutely necessary in order to build things as you level), unlocking new areas, or even chopping down huge trees that are positioned to make it hard to build around. There is no way for the player to guarantee these resources, except of course spending money on the game. It can be incredibly frustrating when, for example, the gnome gives you 7 axes (and your weapon inventory can only hold 10 items), preventing you from even making the items you need because you no longer have the space for them as you pray for the red charm to randomly drop so you can increase said inventory space.

Progress like molasses

I play a number of this type of game and Harvest Land fails to impress. I was only about 2 days into it when I had to wait 24 hours for something to be completed. Talk about slowing down game play! The trading aspect is very limited—essentially one box which no one seems interested in if you are a new player and can only offer things that take one minute to grow on your own. Perhaps most annoying though, is that control over your inventory is very limited. Selling to players (via your one box) is the only way to get rid of stuff you don’t need without luck. I’m in a situation where my armory is full but I don’t have any clubs. I can’t expand my inventory without certain jewels which are “gifted” or won by chance. So I’m waiting on the jewels. Meanwhile, two enemies requiring clubs are wondering around my village but I can’t kill them. I wish I could sell things I don’t need in my inventory to make room for things I do need.

I enjoy the game I started playing through tapjoy as an way to earn in game currency for design home. I learned a lot the first time on my iPhone so I’m starting over on my tablet because you learn while playing not to over produce. You can’t easily get rid of items also to fill all the big boats no never got the sugar mill and now I can’t get enough to make it. Overall it’s good but geared towards making you pay over and over to get game currency. I hate that. I don’t mind paying for a good game once but not over and over and over. I really enjoy the game and I’m sure you will too.

Ugh
