Almost great

iFl4

I enjoy this app. I like the look of it and I really like the ability to scroll threw mileage of the route. It helps me with fuel management. The three improvements that I think would Make this app used by Most riders with or without Harley. 1st would be the ability to see friends on the map. A live feed similar to how wolf pack app works would be great but even if there was just a location share. A example of what this would help. I have been on s ride that a friend has had to join in later. He took the less scenic but faster route and found us in the middle. But because of this we had to supplement with other mapping apps to let him see our current location. Switching back and forth made it a pain. 2nd would be more details in the map. For example I have scene a fuel station icon on the map to get there only to find out it’s a tire station with no fuel. This could had gone worst in a less populated area. If there was a filter to add more or less or types of info displayed Much like most other apps that would be great. Or even a option to click on the icons and get more info in the planning phase. 3rd which piggy backs on the 1st is tapping into the Harley social community. I think the option to indicate where I am and that I want to go for a ride in a way that other riders could see me and join up with me or put us in contact would really make this app blow up. I pass a lot of Harley riders on my solo rides and I always wonder if they are also using this app.

Thanks Harley!

Useable App But limited

FrancoJ

This app it not bad, but no ware near great. It is not very user friendly, but I like the save ride settings, have not changed to see if it will always me to adjust it on the web site from my computer. The phone app appears very limited, but I’m still trying different things with it.

NOT A FAN

JR-JR-JR

After trying to seriously use the boom navigation and this app. at the recent regional Curves to Cores HOG rally, I find the app has good points and bad points (proprietary induced restrictions) with the route planning and navigation aspect being close to the bad end of things. I have experimented with the app since it was published and find the ride planning and navigation lacking and still difficult to use, even on my 2019 Ultra Limited BoomBox Nav system, although I understand there is a point where the bike Nav system is separate from the app., neither the app ( via PC or phone) or BoomBox Nav system are user friendly with a few exceptions and trying to map out a ride is frustrating at best. I tried use my phone and Maps with Car-play (a great feature, if access able) which is user friendly however the phone doesn’t fit in the phone cubby. I purchased the HD phone mount at the HOG rally thinking it would work but phone falls out of that. So far, not a fan! The BoomBox nav system, prompts, screen info and features compared to Maps, Google, Garmin etc is lacking.

The app in general is so so.

There are to many issues with the app to list, but the 2 main issues are with the GPS. The route tends to up date if you pull over to get gas, not a big deal until it reroutes you to the very start of the original route. Nothing like making a 300 mile trip into 600 miles because you need gas. The next issue is you can’t delete apps. For apple phone users you have a button, doesn’t work, but you have a button. For other than apple products you have no delete route button. Which I guess doesn’t matter since you can’t delete the route anyway. H-D work on your app, fix the bugs. Try again. If your planning to download the app wait for a new version. This one is buggy as f()k.

Great app!

I have been using the H-D app for several months now and I have really enjoyed using all of the features that it has especially the monthly ride challenges. I record every ride that I do and check in at every dealership and event that I attend. There is a competitive yet enjoyable experience when I track my standings each day. I also use the app to plan long rides and use the turn by turn feature to navigate. Great app!

Great app

Really like the way this app works with Harley ride planner and going back-and-forth and being able to email/ message routes to different people. Like that my HOG card is displayed so I don’t have to carry it in my wallet. It would be nice to be able to view the routes with better detail. Like when you go into your saved routes being able to tap a route and have it expand and check it out in detail with streets names. The ride challenges are fun but there’s Gotta be a better way to verifies these peoples mileage and check ins. And you shouldn’t be able to use other brands of bikes to collect the mileage.

Download Ride Failure

opdjones

I have created multiple rides in the ride planner and upon connecting my IPhone XS Max to the Boom Box GTS Infotainment center on my 2019 H-D Limited using the manufacture chord it shows Download Failure Unknown Issue. This issue has occurred multiple times with different planned rides using this app. App is useless if the planned rides can’t be downloaded to the Navigation on the bike.
