Amazing! One big flaw though.
Rlly good program
I meet a lot of people on YouTube. And we have hangouts. So I try to add them but I can’t. At all. When I search them up I shows no results just the people I already have added. This needs to be fixed quick. Pease and thank you. ~A Person You Do Not Need To Know. Edit: even with your most recent update, I still can’t search people up unless their in my contacts.
Bugs need to be killed!

I use hangouts a lot. We change our profiles a lot but it never changes and you have to click their profile to see it instead of it showing up next to there message or their icon showing next to private chats. Calls get glitchy a lot. Texting is fun. It would be nicer if there were things like in chat games or in call games like apps such as Tango and GroupMe have. Also I know this is a google thing but, you should be able to change your name and profile for just hangouts because if you have a YouTube channel then it has to relate to that. Google Inc., please reply to this. Thank you.

Google is terrible at making apps and some of them are unusable, especially on macOS; but the Google Hangouts app for iOS rises to acceptable and except for missing the occasional message seems adequate and functional.

With the last two versions at least, people can barely hear me speak, even if I shout. Have to go with the regular phone app to have a conversation.
Pics and videos wont send

I had to revert back to iMessage as my default cause of the issue. I love hangouts but can't with this inconvenience and there's a min lag everytime j open the app and click a new message

You can see when the other person has read your message which is a nice feature.
