WHAT IS NEUROPRIMING
With the Halo Sport app, users can choose from three different Neuropriming sessions: (1) Legs, Core, & Arms, (2) Hand & Fingers - Right Emphasis, and (3) Hand & Fingers - Left Emphasis. According to the selected session, Halo Sport’s foam Primers electrically stimulate specific areas of the motor cortex to induce a temporary state of hyperplasticity. Pairing the resulting hyperplastic brain state with training reps leads to more more precise, coordinated, and explosive movement — whichever is the focus of the user’s training. You can read more about Neuropriming at blog.haloneuro.com/neuroscience.
WHO IS USING HALO SPORT
In professional sports, teams and athletes from the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB and Olympics are all using Halo Sport to improve athleticism. For example, a double-blind, placebo-controlled study with the U.S. Olympic Ski Team found that ski jumpers who trained with Halo Sport increased propulsive force by an additional 13% and jump smoothness by an additional 11% over the control group after ten consecutive training days. You can see more examples of athletes and musicians training with Halo Sport at youtube.com/c/HaloNeuroscience.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND HALO SPORT
The underlying science behind Halo Sport is called transcranial direct current stimulation (“tDCS”). tDCS is backed by more than a decade of neuroscience research—3,000 peer-reviewed articles covering over 105,000 sessions speak to the technology’s safety and efficacy. In addition, Halo Neuroscience’s team of doctors, scientists, and engineers built Halo Sport according to medical-grade specifications, and successfully tested the device on more than 1,400 volunteers. HOW TO USE HALO SPORT
For best results, use Halo Sport during a 20-minute warm-up prior to focused, movement-based training. Simply saturate the Primers with water, put on Halo Sport like any other pair of headphones, and use the Halo Sport app to initiate a 20-minute Neuropriming session. After the 20-minute session ends, take off the headset (or leave it on to listen to music) and continue training. Your brain remains in a hyperplastic state for 60 minutes—use this time to perform high-quality, high-intensity reps.
The device does a poor job connecting with the phone It’s the only device that I have that seems to have this problem
This is a terribly inconsistent device. It’ll have a hard time getting good contact for no reason. I can literally have water running down my face it’s so soaking and have both hands pressing the band to my skull and it’ll have moments of ‘having a hard time getting a good connection’ get stuck at 99% and then finally restart - all while I have not moved or changed anything at all whatsoever. I literally am as physically still as I could ever be as a living breathing being. I would never recommend this device to anyone nor would I ever risk moving let alone working out while using it. However, assuming the claims of hyper plasticity are true it’s still worth me suffering through it even if it’s rather terrible in every other aspect. Also, the sound quality is not good on the headphones.
No back up service. No customer service to help with trouble shooting. Cant buy the liquid to keep node connective. Once that connectivity reduces you gotta spemnd a half hour just trying to connect. Ive made it work dumping a bucket of water on my head
Paired once with an iPhone XS Max running iOS 13.3.1 (latest currently) but now consistently refuses to pair. Have followed the instructions on Halo’s website with no luck. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app, reset network settings, hard reset of the phone. Nothing works. Emails to support have gone unanswered for a couple of days. Hoping support can help sort this out or will have to return the unit. Very disappointed.
The concept is good but the execution is so bad. It is like gilding a lily to get the app and the device to work together; with a specific process that m/b followed to the letter & sequence to get it to work! Then staying connected is another whole gut twisting adventure. And if you start and then it stops and you have to start over, the app won’t start a session again until the next day! It gives you the option but it won’t actually do it....madness!
I really liked these at the start, but lately it’s been very frustrating. Like many, I have an awful time with connection and the primer band. Drops and reconnects literally every 3 seconds. My real issue is lack of support. Multiple unanswered emails and just automated replies saying they are behind. It doesn’t take 3 weeks to get a simple answer or even the courtesy of a reply. I give the headphones 4 stars and the customer support 1 Star (because I can’t give it a zero!).
I had my halo neuro 2 for one month and a half everything was working perfect, but one day just stopped working. Bluetooth headphones are able to pair but not the neuropriming halo 2. I been looking for help but they just send me instructions which I did thousands of times already and nothing seems to help. Does any one have the same issue?
I really want this to work so I spend 5 minutes soaking each nub but it only connects 10% of the time it’s way too experience so such poor usability. I don’t recommend it
