With its clean layout, you will definitely love the flat user interface. What's more, you can always adjust the comments' font size by going to iOS's Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Larger Text and dragging the slider.
Hacker News Client is completely open source. Feel free to contribute.
Upon opening, get a error message saying that the app is unable to fetch data from the server. Also hasn't been updated to support iPhone X screen.
Really appreciated everything this piece had to offer. Speed, reliability, and beautiful no-nonsense design. Still haven’t found a client that compares to the actual http platform itself. Thanks for the time, and best wishes.
This was my favorite hacker news app, but it needs a bit of TLC. On the iPhone X and newer phones it doesnt use the full screen size, and it started to lock up frequently for a few seconds, before it becomes responsive again. I will update this review again when these things are resolved. I’d like to get back to giving this app 5 stars!
Need to change the comment system. The entire point of HN is to read comments and this app makes the experience pretty bad.
Good client, but sharing to Pocket crashes it? Pocket is my primary bookmarks service; so it’s pretty important.
Almost unusable. Read a couple of articles, force stop, back to step 1.
Love the client. Makes it easy to get into HN. I use “send to OneNote” to archive the interesting notes, but recently HN crashes every time I click OneNote and it builds the screen to send to OneNote.
I always get “something went wrong” error prompt when I try to launch app or do a pull to refresh. On iPhoneX, latest iOS and version of app.
Very well supported application with no visible bugs. I would pay for a search feature that integrates Algolia. It’d make this application a much more powerful!
