Read-only

Nice minimalist design, but can't write comments and have to tap comments to see child comments.

Best for viewing HN

Reddit Addict

I am just getting into coding and I like reading HN to expose myself to new technologies and ideas. This is app is clean and smooth. The only downside is I don't see a way to add comments or to upvote. If those features were added it would be perfect.

Best HN app out there

kutenai

Just love the clean, extremely usable design

It's fine

ZachWa

The minimalist design is pretty, but doesn't make for a great HN experience. Information density is low. Threaded comments are weird.

Solid

Nom De Plumage

Solid app for meaningful advancements in technology.

The best hacker news client for iOS.

Jonny Troschansky

Highly recommend.

Great for Viewing HN

Gonzofish

This app is great to read and browse HackerNews but being part of the discussion isn't an option since there's no login method. I'm not sure if that's a mode of the HN API or how the app is designed. I enjoy the aesthetic and find the comments easy to follow. This app has actually made me look at HN more than I used to too.

Unresponsive

DakeZhan

The list of articles becomes unresponsive when the app is downloading new content.

Good for articles, terrible for comments

MisterrManMan

As others have noted, the interface for reading articles is fantastic. However, the comment threading design is very cumbersome. Instead of showing comments as a collapsible tree like the website (or any other forum for that matter) they require you to press a button to drill down into a particular comment's replies.

Old UI not good for reading comments

UI is still iOS 9
