GyroSynth is a gesture driven music synthesizer, which takes full adventage of the gyroscope. You can play and modulate the sound by moving your hand through the air - just like the legendary Theremin instrument.
GyroSynth makes use of the gyroscope to measure true roll, pitch, and yaw and translates them to sound parameters like pitch, volume, modulation or filter cutoff. Thanks to phenomenal accuracy (2000 degrees), you can play melodies perfectly in tune.

Unique and impressive

It's very accurate, sound is great (especially singing voice) after an hour I'm able to play any melody. friends are impressed.

This app won't sync to my brand new iphone 4G. I've redownloaded it 3 times, updated my itunes, and have tried everything to install it, but to no avail. I have 50+ apps and have NEVER had this problem.

As a musician, I am always looking for cool apps that allow me to make music on my iPod, whether it be to for work or pleasure. This app is really impressive in its sensitivity to the slightest movement, and allows for some really cool effects on the synth player. Great app! No Regrets here!
A serious musical instrument for 99 cents

Picked this up after seeing the demo videos on their website. I've seen plenty of demos of people making music with an app but I'm too musically un-inclined to do as well. What do you know, I can make some pretty good music with GyroSynth! Got dialed into it within 5 minutes and started wailing away on 'Baby, Please Don't Go' with nary a flub. GS produces some good sounding notes, unlike a lot of other synth app. Buy it and and have some fun. Be aware though that it only works with Apple's newest devices that have a gyroscope, like the iPhone 4, latest Touch, and iPad 2.
Fun but not practical

This is not really a great tool for performance quality music, more a toy to show off the iPhone 4. It needs a more useful record function and audio copy to become something I will regularly use.

The app wont download to my iPad 2 saying it needs a gyroscope, which it has!

I give this product a 9 out of 5 stars ( I know that doesn't make sense but 5 just isn't enough!). It's fairly easy to learn and the sound and motion duo will make this a hit on stage. What a great app.!!
