BEST WORKOUT APP

kw490

I have had little to no problems with the app, and it has a wide range of variations for different exercises! 10/10

Bait and Switch

Took the time to download and was going to give it a try. Then, after the hassle, was told on my watch to activate a free trial. I do not appreciate this. Happy to trial, but expectations should be better managed. Uninstalling.

Unusable

App used to be great, but now it logs any and every movement you make as an exercise. Every time you stand up, walk around, or do anything besides sit still, it’ll log some random exercise. Used this app for years but it’s become unusable unfortunately

Won’t install properly on my watch

Timer1

I’ve read the help file. My account says premium but I’ve tried to install and reinstall three times. The watch app never installs. They help file is useless. It just tells you to make sure your account is premium and then how to sync from the watch app that has never installed. Bummed, it sounds like a great idea.

Apple Watch functionality tied to a subscription

You are not able to add custom lifts to a workout or program supersets. Apple Watch is basically unusable without a subscription.

Constant watch issues

RVR57

The watch app doesn’t follow the changes I make in the iPhone app even though I sync the guided exercise. This problem is getting worse! Now I need to kill the app after making any changes or the watch ignores the phone app. I’ve reinstalled the app, shut down phone and watch, I also rebooted my phone and watch, no help!

Impressive

I’m a numbers guy and I really love the accuracy of the watch counting reps for you. I enjoy making a workout using this app and the ease of implementation. The process of creating a workout could be a little better. For example a drag and drop sort instead of the up arrow thing.

Works, Great Concept, a bit Quirky Sometimes

i_Scott

Gymnastic works surprising well. Most exercises track automatically and I love the logs it creates. I especially enjoy the watch app. No bulky phone needed. Its a bit like having a trainer on your wrist. I’d rate this 5 stars but the watch version isn’t as intuitive as it could be. It gets confusing when you try to edit existing sets— do you tap? press and hold then tap? swipe? am I editing the current exercise or a future exercise? Also, the haptic feedback is hit-or-miss. If the screen is off, you don’t always feel or hear the rest stopwatch. Despite the quirks, it’s an impressive product and I look forward to future improvements.

Excellent workout logs

Zaid.Moreno

Before the app I used to log my workouts on a notebook ie. name of workout, sets & reps. Gymatic uses the accelerometer on the watch to recognize the workout you’re doing and the # of reps you did. You can either do a Guided workout which you prep before hand and then follow or FreeForm. Say you just wanna do some random pushups & sit-ups then you’d choose FreeForm.

Really great but it’s been crashing!

Mousabh

The app works amazingly, I have it for more than 3 years but in the last few months and after an update the app crashes mid workout and all changes to sets and weights are lost, the workout is not recorded and the whole exercise is lost, really unreliable as of now
