Not iPad friendly

kpburd

I’m all IN with this program, but the iPad version is sorely lacking in content and ease of navigation. The home page on the browser vs. the app reflects my 3 star rating.

I’m a beginner

There is no doubt the content I encountered so far and the teachers are great. I enjoy the lessons and practices and try to use the app on the iPad everyday. I even dropped fender play because guitar tricks is so much better. But, the user interface and experience on iPad is lacking. 1. It’s really important for me to keep track of where I was and my progress as well as history of usage. While this is available on desktop and web, it’s not on mobile. The need to keep going back and forth from app to website to look at progress and history so I can jump back to a section or continue where I was is the reason I only gave 3 stars. I prefer to use the iPad for everything and I’m sure the future is in mobile, so please make the UX friendlier and easier.

Just updated app, now freezes up...

Just updated this app this morning (3/24) and now the video lessons freezing up on me like it never did before and the app is jumpy and jittery in playback. Using high speed WiFi connection (95 mbps) on an iPhone. Was fine before. Wish I waited... Developer asks me to provide my iPhone and iOS info. It don’t matter. I use YouTube, TrueFire and many other apps with video and video lessons and all work fine. Thanks for the developer reaching out but clearly the problem not on my end.

Good needs refinement

This online guitar learning tool is great. The main improvement that is need is quality of life improvements. Mainly add the progress bars into the app like the full website has. So it’s easier to keep track and stay motivated. Also a quick reference guide for chords and scales like the website.

Great app w/ tons of info

ThtSnpr

After researching several apps I decided to give this one a try. I haven’t regretted it so far! I played when I was younger and got away from it. I started as a beginner with the app and the information it teaches is unbelievable!!! Definitely worth the monthly membership without a doubt.

To costly

I don’t like it because like why would anybody pay like $180 a year!!!! Plus you don’t learn anything! Therefore I give it one star and if I could go any lower I would.

Great for when you're mobile!

Love the website and the app. It does the basics and I am able to view lessons wherever I am. Not tracking progress in the app is a bit annoying but I am more concerned with content!

Underwhelming

The free version isn’t robust enough to learn anything, and it doesn’t make me eager to pay for the full version. There seems to be no search feature to find songs in the app, and it’s mostly full of music I don’t enjoy. Probably a great app for someone who wants to learn country music, but it’s not for me.
