SKOUTIE!!

Pretty much gives you one video for each option you pick, in order to watch any other video you have to "upgrade".

Seasoned by still learning

King Sweet

I have taken courses at a local community college. Tried online video. I was struggling to pick up things and retaining them. I finally bit the bullet and signed up for a yearly membership. I am learning several songs and having fun doing it. The courses work very well. Very glad I decided to go for it.

It's a nice addition…

To their web site.

Great app!

I'm a middle aged guy whose been playing since a teenager. There's lots to keep you interested and to fill in knowledge gaps. My only complaints are (and they're biggies) is that you need to be able to zoom in closer on the tab (hard to read even on iPhone 6 Plus for my aging eyes) and there's no search feature.

Great content

I've had it for a couple of weeks now. It's a theoretically well laid out guitar lesson. It also progresses very easily from one string to all the strings and so on that it is good for anyone at any level. Plus more than practicing how to play, the theory behind the lessons as explained makes the lessons last and helps the student have the confidence to independently come up with something new. Enjoy!

Even after 18 years of playing...

... I found some of the most basic videos/"lessons"- namely those emphasizing how essential a well structured practice routine is, and proceeding to instruct the viewer how to go about integrating the habit into your lifestyle. Great program. So many avenues to explore!

GT saved me from giving up

After a year of different instructors I decided to give Guitar Tricks a try and was very satisfied but then I still felt I was not improving and maybe it's just time to give up. So I did, for about six months. After looking at my guitars collecting dust I decided to give Guitar Tricks one more try. I'm so glad I did! Once I got to the power chord section, that has really brightened my outlook once again. And yes Lisa McCormick (hope I spelled that right) is so thorough and patient. The loop, replay, ability to print lessons features are just magnificent! I am now practicing every day and loving it! Thanks GT.

Useless. Spammer.

Everything I looked at asked me to upgrade. Upgrade what? I'm not even able to see any functionality. Got tired of trying. THEN the spam machine started. Daily emails. I unsubscribed 4 times and still I get NOT requested emails about this dumb app. Scammer.

Cool Site

A nice way to learn guitar, with some competent instructors. Plenty of good tabs to learn.

Great!

Honestly, I am learning soooo much already and I am barely on lesson 1. This is exactly what I always wanted, an app (or some videos) that would explain every single little detail of the guitar before even starting to teach how to play. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't like the fact that the app forgets where you left off. Every time you exit it you have to go back through the whole process so if you forget things easily, you may have to write down every single time where you left off before you exit the app. Other than that, great job! I'm extremely pleased and excited to keep learning!
