There’s no actual story

Buggy Update

Half the dungeons have Texture errors, so you get to try and fight with a blank screen.

Dungeon Crawling with a Comic Twist

Tikibob48

Fun game of hero developement, dungeon creation and cruel comedy. Love the simple graphics, music and great replay ability.

1009 error

Enjoying the game, however I keep getting a 1009 error that then causes the game to crash at the next battle. Sad day.

Bug texture validity 1009 locks game

I want to like this game, it’s unique, but it crashes after 10 min or so (memory leak?). I emailed the developer (no clear support offering) but no word. 1 Star until it can be resolved or ill have to ask for my money back. I’m not paying for an app that locks and crashes every time I use it. This should have been tested.

A great idea... moderately executed

Amused but confused

There’s a great deal to like about this game. It’s fun, it’s novel, and it’s not too easy or generally too hard either. When it’s fair that is - given some of the requirements for some dungeons (reach the eye beast in 9 turns or get petrified) are only randomly achievable - depending on whether or not you’ll actually get cards to reach the boss in time. That’s not fun - that’s frustratingly silly. So are the bard’s voiceovers the designers seem to have fallen in love with (at least you can turn those off), and the choice to play the game at 3x, which means battles go faster but you have to miss all the dialogue that actually is decent. So yeah - I still play, and I’d buy a v2.0 with some extra polish in a heartbeat. But I’m also regularly putting it down because the fun gets interrupted with annoyance just a little too often.

I'm... conflicted

After many games I think I've got my head around the idea that the dungeoneers are expendable and I understand the mechanics. My problems with the game are two-fold. First, there are SO MANY texture error messages that lock the game. Nothing like dropping 30 minutes of gameplay because of a crash. Four times tonight alone. The iPad is a known quantity so there is no excuse for resource look-up errors. Next, the math is weird sometimes. I will occasionally die even as a boosted character against level 2 monsters. I have yet to beal L2 of the second dungeon (loot 3 chests) because of weird endings. Good game at $7 with a different mechanic. Very glad I didn't spend more on PC or Mac version. Just not sure it is one I'll remember I own in a month.

Loving this addictive game!

What a fun game! It’s hard to find a game with so much replay value that doesn’t have a big paywall. The $6 was totally worth it. I’d give five stars if it didn’t crash every time I get a text message or switch apps.
