iPad?

Yogibear 20

I downloaded it on iPad and it looks weird....like it is scaled for tablet but the app is designed for iPhone. Is this normal?

Good for people trying to get a feel for assistant before getting a google home. Also it is useful to control things like lights on you phone because apple dose not support as much smart home products as google.

Why?

Eddyword94

I bought the Home Mini under a week ago and since day 1 The home many acts is if I summoned it with the “hotword” when I didn’t. More users are having the same problem. I already packed it back up ready to drive it back to the store before the grace period ends

Good but no local news

julied2010

I am very disappointed in Google Home for not having the ability to customize the news. And I totally understand why. Google, the website, has a section where you can customize news. Why does this not tie in with the Home? Amazon Alexa has a wonderful interface for customizing the local news.

Great , but app is flakey

Google assistant is way better than Siri. Only issue is that when using 3D Touch as a shortcut to use Assistent by voice, there is no voice recognition once the app opens. You have to close the application ( actually close the app, not just close and reopen ) in order to get voice recognition back working

Not bad on IOS.

I love Google assistant. It’s so much better tha. Siri. Wish there was a way it would be native when you press the Siri button, but I just tell Siri to open Google Assistant. I wish Assistant would read all my calendars and not just the google calendars, like the Google Calendar app does. I can pull up calendars that are on my iOS calendar so why can’t Assistant do the same thing? Hopefully in a future release. Thanks for all the work google on the IOS apps! Well done.

Calendars

It can still only read one calendar? After all this time?

Not voiceover accessible. You are breaking the law.

Reece O'Bryan

The American with disabilities act says that you have to offer any services that you offer to the general public to any users that might need an accommodation because of the disability. Because you did not and have not added VoiceOver support, visually impaired or blind users are not able to use this application and any of them could sue you for it...
