I have had this app for awhile and spent a lot to buy full books. Only to discover that if you pay to unlock an entire book and read it then leave it for an extended period of time. They relics the chapters so you then have to rebuy the same book if you want to reread it.

I came to this app after starting to read a story on the website. After coming to the last chapter it kept saying “read for free on the app” so I caved and downloaded it. Only to discover that, no it is not free, it charges coins. So for 200 coins it costs $2.00, and the particular story I was reading was 11coins a chapter, so for $2 you were looking at less than 20 chapters. Now this doesn’t seem bad, until you realize there are almost 7 HUNDRED CHAPTERS to purchase. And some of these chapters are barely a page long making it seem like they are extra broken up for the money. With this, it will cost almost $70 USD just to finish this one novel. While I support buying for the author, this is an outlandish amount for a novel that I know the author probably isn’t seeing much of.

This is a big scam. Don’t invest is the scam. Good novel needs to be up front with the charges. But what do you expect from a foreign book company. Deleting this app!

Disclaimer: I have started reading only one novel. You will understand why as you read this review. 1. The novel is not a final draft. There are errors throughout. False information presented, words are missing, misrepresentation of actual things. 2. “Chapters” are actually scenes. This is a concern when you “pay” per chapter. 3. You “pay” using virtual coins. You can earn coins and you can buy them. A. To earn coins, you check-in daily to earn 20-25 coins, and you watch Ads (which now consists of five 30 second Ads with a 3 minute waiting period between each Ad) for 3 coins per Ad. These coins are only good for 5 days, so accumulating coins to sit down for an hour, or more, and read is not possible. It takes me around 160 coins for 30 minutes of read time. B. You can pay $9.99 for 1,150 coins. There other options available. C. Chapters take around 12 coins each. 4. After paying $9.99 once and using Ad coins over two months, I am on Chapter 226 which is only 7% through the book. To purchase a novel in the store usually costs $20-30. 5. Once you open a novel you have to completely exit the App then go back in to get back to the main page to do any other activity in the App. Yes, there is a 5 second Ad you have to wait for every time you open it. 6. There are other drawbacks regarding obtaining free coins.

I’ve been using this app for about a month now and have found myself hooked on 2 books. I don’t have the extra money to buy coins so I rely on the bonuses to earn coins. It can be a little frustrating at times but not enough to delete the app!

Okay, got to reading the story about Charlie wade and got the part where you had to pay to go further, so I paid and read all the way to chapter 164 or so then got shifted to a different story from the beginning. I tried to get back to what I was reading and there is no recourse, you can only read what the app determines. There are no settings which can be set so basically I was screwed. TOTAL SCAM

I’m editing my original 5 star review, as I’m further into the book and how the app works. It’s now up to 24 minutes to watch 6 ads, so you can earn enough points to read one very very short chapter. If you leave the app at all, even if you don’t close it, the timer stops. 3 minutes of just hanging out between 30 second ads. That’s ridiculous. It started off at 1 minute between. Then 2 and now 3 mins. There is a check in option that allows you to get enough points to usually read another chapter. But this is crazy. If I finish this book. I’ll not start another book for this reason.

This is the biggest scam I have ever encountered. Paying so much for ONE story…. Never again. All for supporting writers…. But not for over 100.00 a book. Ridiculous
