Not what I expected – GoodNovel - Stories & Novels Review

Disclaimer: I have started reading only one novel. You will understand why as you read this review. 1. The novel is not a final draft. There are errors throughout. False information presented, words are missing, misrepresentation of actual things. 2. “Chapters” are actually scenes. This is a concern when you “pay” per chapter. 3. You “pay” using virtual coins. You can earn coins and you can buy them. A. To earn coins, you check-in daily to earn 20-25 coins, and you watch Ads (which now consists of five 30 second Ads with a 3 minute waiting period between each Ad) for 3 coins per Ad. These coins are only good for 5 days, so accumulating coins to sit down for an hour, or more, and read is not possible. It takes me around 160 coins for 30 minutes of read time. B. You can pay $9.99 for 1,150 coins. There other options available. C. Chapters take around 12 coins each. 4. After paying $9.99 once and using Ad coins over two months, I am on Chapter 226 which is only 7% through the book. To purchase a novel in the store usually costs $20-30. 5. Once you open a novel you have to completely exit the App then go back in to get back to the main page to do any other activity in the App. Yes, there is a 5 second Ad you have to wait for every time you open it. 6. There are other drawbacks regarding obtaining free coins.
