Great cube

Love the gocube so far!!!!! It has alot of potential and has me playing more and more to get better

Expensive, floppy cube

This cube is cool but it’s very very floppy. Its centers cannot be adjusted to make he sides tighter. It reminds me of early versions of the Gan 356 cube. It feels like that cube just with magnets. Plus the stop button on the timer doesn’t work. It doesn’t stop the timer at all. Just buy a “Giiker super cube 3s. It’s better than this thing.

Great cube

GoCube is a really move cube. The charging port isn’t in the way at all. Hardware is really well done. The app is also solid. Hasn’t crashed on me at all. I’d like to see a more advanced academy beyond just being able to solve the cube.

Stepwise instruction

This was a really fun way to learn how to solve a rubix cube. The videos were very helpful. Sometimes I tried to follow the video with the cube but don’t do that. It screws up the app and then you have to start over. Make sure to wait until the app tells you to move before you start. Also, I noticed that the positioning sensors lost their accuracy with time. It would ask me to face the cube a certain way but it wouldn’t realise it was correct. Then you turn the cube a little and it thinks it’s square. Which means I have to do the moves at 45 degree angles fairly often. I hope this can be fixed with an update

Thanks Dad!

My dad bought me this go cube and I can’t stop using it, it really helps you learn and you can even show of you skills in the timer and competition mode.

Love it!!!

The software is beta and I can fault it here and there but the software and the cube work fine. The cube feels like a quality product. Magnets click it into place. The operation is very smooth. If I saw this before becoming a backer I’d have become a more impatient backer. The cube teaches a bit but only two algorithms. The rest of the solution steps ar long and never explained in sufficient detail. You just blindly follow the letters until the cube is solved. They should break out chunks to memorize, giving them names. Yes, it’s fun but it’s also a little like blind man’s bluff or pin the tail on the donkey.

Enjoying the learning process

I have no idea how to solve a Rubik’s cube and am enjoying the journey and practice aids this app provides!

Awesome!

Just got our cube today, and it's awesome! It will help the cube-impaired learn how it's done, as well as provide entertainment and competitions for experienced cubists. It even had the attention of my autistic son, highly recommend!

Just a few hangups

I went through the academy on both iPhone X running iOS 12.3.1 and iPad (4th gen) running iOS 10.3.3. Everything seems fine on iPhone, but iPad had several issues: 1. In the instructional videos, the video lags behind the audio. He's pointing at something he already mentioned while talking about the next step. 2. When it asks which piece goes in the marked space, there is no marked space, so the only way to proceed is to guess. iPhone clearly shows an outline around the space, but iPad doesn't. 3. iPhone always showed the current status of the cube. iPad showed many spots dark grey, and showed some colors in the wrong places. 4. iPad frequently lost the position of the cube and had to be re-synced via the upper-right corner button. iPhone needs to re-sync occasionally, but not nearly as much as iPad. FYI, unlike most apps that offer an iPad-specific version, this doesn't have any additional or expanded features or layouts. There's no landscape layout, so it's just a larger version of the iPhone screen.

Love it. The stats and the timer is great! Love competing against other players at my level.
