Nearly useless for local forecast.

jgcjgc

Unless I am missing something, this app is really only good for viewing worldwide storms and radar, and is not intended for getting a local NOAA weather forecast. Maybe it is intended for the Storm-chaser crowd? The Marine section just shows current sea state not the forecast. Better to simply put a link to the NOAA forecasts you like in your browser. I do that for my local zip code and also for nearby near shore marine forecast. On the good side, the NOAA radar in this app seems to load quicker than the radar with other free weather apps. I may try that next summer to see if it provides adequate zoom in data to see if a storm is heading our way at the beach.

Ads Horrible, But "Pro" Version Great!

kaliko

The information in this app is really useful if you just want to see satellite images of the weather. It allows you to make an educated guess as to the upcoming weather. It's actually really great. BUT the problem with this version is the horrible ads and the fact that the app resets itself every time you switch away from it. Just do yourself a favor and look at the related apps from this developer and get the $.99 "Pro" version, which is identical but doesn't have the ads.

L O V E this app . . .

It is a safety item. Every time there is a weather or related watch, warning or whatever -- it shows up here. All of the information shows up. There are the complete NOAA text, maps, references to addit'l info, if it exists, anything else relevant. I think I have 20 (+/-) weather apps between the iPad and iPhone. They change from time to time, depending on the app development, seasons, etc. But this app hasn't been deleted yet. The app is especially relevant during severe weather season here in the Midwest for tornadoes, hail, thunderstorms, flooding. Simple and relevant. Good.

"Network Error"

Drtyfn

The app gets to the menu page but then continuously give me "Network Error - No connection to the server..." This is usually my go-to forecasting app. PLEASE FIX IT!!! I'll rate it a 5 star after you fix it.

"NO"-AA Connection

All I get is a message saying network error… No connection to server. Says please try again later or check the NOAA Now support page for possible causes. Useless.

DO NOT download!

Gregorius24

I downloaded this app for my iPhone 6 to find out more about the Aurora borealis that’s supposed to be visible across most of the U. S. tonight — and what a nightmare that turned out to be. The app took me to a webpage in Safari where I was asked for my ZIP Code for accurate weather notifications. I was then asked if I would like to receive weather notifications, to which I agreed (big mistake!). The app then added an email account under Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, with which I was not familiar, and which was mostly spam -- and this new e-mail account became the primary server with no way to delete it. I was sure this malware or worse, and that my sensitive info was being hacked. It took a long phone call to Apple techs and two clean install attempts from iTunes before I was able to get rid of that mystery email/server account. Stay away!

Useless

Totally useless weather app! Posey NOAA you need to do a lot better than this!

App Does Not Open Sometimes

Mick Gator Fan

Used to be great with useful content you could understand. They started removing the useful features a while ago. Now they've added a pop-up add when you open the app - IF the app will even open. Gets worse with each update.

Useless

And I can't get rid of it!

Used to be good

This app used to be good. Now, every update makes it worse. Pop up adds were added on. Some features I like were taken away. I doubt this app is owned by NOAA
