Disengenuous - beware

Gcoost

I was astonished to find that the app does NOT follow its own settings...when you first set it up, you are given three choices as a setting: (1) Never use your location (2) Use your location only while using app (3) Always use your location Well, I chose (2), because I thought it only fair that an application might need your location info while you are using it, so that it runs more efficiently or better, etc. However, after I left the application - stopping it, I noticed that I still have a banner running at the top of my screen which says,”NOAA Now is Actively Using Your Location. I went to the website to the privacy information located at the bottom of the page, and was informed that the company that runs and oh AAA now does not knowingly pass your personal information on to anyone. That being said, if that is the case then why does it need to run in the background, even when you have left the application and closed it? Because what it is telling you is not actually what it does. For that reason I am uninstalling this application and sending a notice to the Better Business Bureau about the company’s misrepresentation of its product. Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware (even though this application version it’s free)

Can’t navigate format plus ads everywhere

Jandiejehhwjjdidjdhejifj

Ads everywhere. Just wanted to check the weather but I couldn’t see a clear way to do that on this app. Is noaa behind this? They seem to reputable to put out a BS scam app like this..

Licensing and privacy policy

Naftikos

Looks very useful but its licensing and privacy policy render it unacceptable.

NOAA Now

Bradley (Bubby)

Great application for weather.

Does what it's supposed to

LegaL B

Perfect for storm chasing , if you people want an accurate forecast of your home town find a different app

No local weather???

Fig fun

???

Useless

xcntry

I'm not really sure what the developer's wanted to do with this app - maybe sell ads. It uses only a thousandth of the info available from NOAA and doesn't give any information or formats that are even slightly useful. None of the images are animated to show movement of clouds or radar. No NOAA text summaries for weather forecasts. Nothing! Don't waste time downloading this.

Go to the website instead

Kjh502

The site has a lot of neat satellite images. The developer needs to take High School Geography. The northeast US satellite image clearly shows the central plains. I got the app because I thought it would be more convenient than accessing the local website. "local forecast" never loads and defaults to the menu of satellite images.

Nice APP

DueyDu

Does what it says it will do. Keeps it nice & simple. If you want more go to the main web site with many times more the respective info as the app. Which is not designed for a phone.
