iOS iPhone version weird

merman_93

I love my iPad version, where I do 90% of my browsing. I was recently without my iPad so downloaded the iphone app to check some details in “iffy” emails, but had difficulty finding settings. The app support link here at Apple store leads to an “oops that page unavailable”. I’m deleting app on iPhone for sure, but hate to on iPad,... but this bad link to support may cause me to trash it to.

Crashes constantly

I love an highly recommend Ghostery for Mac browsers (Safari, Firefox, and Chrome). However, the iOS iPhone app crashes constantly since the update. I’m running iOS 11.0.3 and app 1.5.4. I contacted support and they said “There must be something else that makes your App crash, but I cannot reproduce it” What a bummer. I hope this app is fixed soon.

A good app

Was shocked to discover how many trackers were tracking my phone browsing. Still getting used to the app. Wish there was a plug-in for Safari.

Good

Anything that blocks google or Facebook is alright by me.

Not so private, can't clean History ❗️

Sailorson

In a week the app went from 20 Mb to 50 Mb. You can't clean your history within the app. Why ? The good thing is that you don't get cookies in safari when using Ghostery

Great browser with a few rough edges

Talyn125

I've been using the ghostery extension on my main computer for months, so when I learned about the ghostery browser, I quickly downloaded it. In recent weeks, I learned how much of my personal information is tracked and recorded from one of the largest search engines. I blocked and removed what I could find, but this browser allows me increase my privacy when online. Besides the browser itself, I found an option within the ghostery browser to add a level of protection to my internet connection. There are instructions to make a change on my wifi connection which increases my privacy. I never expected to find info like that in a browser's options. The browser uses the search engine Duck Duck Go, which is a nice alternative to some of the more recognized ones. But there are a few rough spots I've found, including the browser lost 6 tabs that I had open -- they just disappeared. In addition, I've found some websites that ghostery can't access. These sites display errors or simply won't load properly. As to reports that ghostery displays many notifications and constantly displays blocked elements, like cookies, I don't see it. All in all, I like what the ghostery browser offers -- a way to go online and not worry about trackers, or my browsing habit being sold to some nameless companies that are only interested in prying into my privacy and forcing advertisements on me. Will it become the main browser I use on my iPad? It's too early to say that. I still use safari for the websites that ghostery can't display properly, or can't access, but I have ghostery on my home page and am using it more and more with each passing day.

Effective but feature thin

Alaska Federation

Good app effective at doing what it’s designed to do, but pretty sparse as far as features go.

I like Ghostery

Sam Greg

We learned about Ghostery at a time when our WIFI router was hacked...we were looking for a private browser. We really like it!

Great

I am glad the ghostery browser is available. I like reading online books, but the ads on some of the sites crash Safari and other browsers. Any chance of getting movable tabs?

Faster than Safari

So far, I'm quite pleased. Much faster page loading.
