Great app with lots of information about what happened in the battle and easy to access information relevant to which park of the park you’re in.
I’ve had this app for 6 years. Updated it 2 weeks ago now I get a white screen after downloading maps & media. No content. Need help this is a great app 1-1-2021
My iPhone is set to disallow location services by default, but even after enabling this specific app, when the GPS option was selected, it still said location services would not work until I restarted the app...which I did multiple times. It would've been nice to have an app that showed where we were in the battlefield. Our Gettysburg trip is over and this app is as useful now as it was during our trip (sic).
A great way tour Gettysburg! I love the ability to see where I am located within the historic battle. The historical research is solid and easy to read and reread at you leisure. Great videos, images, and design. The app combines history, technology, and the user experience beautifully.
The level of content is unparalleled by any other Civil War application. There is so much here that you can pick and choose the manner on which you interact with the app. It is almost as applicable even if you are not on the battlefield!
These apps are a must-have for all Civil War buffs. They are very informative and allow for a decent virtual tour.
I didn't get this app as a tour guide as some other users did so I won't comment on that aspect. I got it because I love American History, especially the Civil War. This app provides so much detail that I found myself reading for almost an hour. The information is very interesting and not dry. And what's cool is how seamlessly all the information is woven together. (for example, on a battlefield map, click on a general and information about that general and his battles come up.) I would definitely recommend this app!
All of these Battle Apps are wonderful. Gettysburg was so big in scale that I look forward to other points of the battle being covered in further apps.
