Outstanding for Civil War fans

I live in Fredericksburg, and am always quick to criticize when I find anything about the Battle of Fredericksburg that I think is incorrect. This app is outstanding. I plan to purchase Gettysburg now, and the others as soon as they are release. Congratulations to everyone involved in producing this fine app.

An Excellent & Entertaining Tool

Fredericksburg is one of my favorite Civil War battles and I love to visit there as often as possible. This fantastic new tool really gives you a great understanding of the battle with detail and drama that one can usually only get from a personal guide--or by lugging your books to the battlefield. With its superb video and audio offerings, this app is second to none.

These are fantastic -- why is the price so low?

This is a great app to take with you on the battlefield -- videos from historians, letters and audio from people who were actually there, on the spot where you are standing -- but it is also great if you want to tour the battlefield from home! It's like having a bunch of the best books right in your phone. If you bought an old CD driving or walking tour of the battlefield, you might pay 20 bucks. To get this incredible amount of in-depth detail for $2.99 is a steal. I'm really looking forward to my next trip to Fredericksburg. Do More battlefields!!!

Along with the Gettysburg Battlefield app the Fredericksburg Battle app represents ground-breaking integration of history with GPS and iPhone technology to change the way we understand these battles. Thanks Civil War Trust for developing these apps

Well Done

Great tool for learning about the battle, even though I haven't had the opportunity to visit. It useful and informative even when sitting on my couch at home.

Jam-packed with info

Wonderful addition to walking tour and driving the area. We had taken the guided tour, then drove to other sites of the battle. We had our very own "tour guide" with us and played the audio accounts at each stop. Easy navigation; tons of great info; more than the posted sign info by far! Please keep developing these apps!

Useful and fun to use

Very pleased with this app. I'm an armchair Civil War and history buff, and this app was tremendously useful on my first visit to the battlefield and the surrounding areas in Fredericksburg. I wandered all day and never ran out of interesting things that I was clues into by this. The text, animated maps, videos by park service staff, and other multimedia features are great.

Fredericksburg and First Manassas Battlefields App

I have completed the 1st Bull Run app and done about half of the Fredericksburg one. Both are chock full information in different media that engages the amateur and academic user. I am impatiently waiting for the Malvern Hill and Chancellorsville apps. Great job! Paul R Stone, MA
