Just maddening

All I can say about the ap is maddening.

Horrible

I'm giving this app one star.... I rarely write reviews, but after spending $25.00, I honestly would like my money back. THE GUITAR SOUNDS ALL SOUND LIKE A SYNTHESIZER! And all the sounds sound almost exactly alike--- the majority are so over the top ridiculously stupid, I can't see anyone liking them, much less using them. The sounds coming from the app HURT my ears, they are that bad. For god's sake, the guitars in GarageBand sound 1,000 times better than this garbage. $25.00???? Should be more like $3.99. Complete waste of my hard earned money! Y'all should be ashamed of yourself ripping people off like this-- horrible.

Sounds great but battery hog

superjohn_rtp

Great sounding and playing app, but don’t leave it running in the background. 35% plus battery drained overnight

It deserves 5 Star, but I still want more!!!

I am forcing myself to stop playing along with the backing tracks in GeoShred Pro long enough to write a review. In a word - WOW! I’ve puttered with some other iPad music software, but for some reason, the GeoShred user interface just feels natural to me. I’m a long time keyboard player who has been struggling with joint pain and it has pretty much eliminated my regular keyboard playing. But now with two fingers and a blues backing track, I can pretend I am Stevie Ray or Jimi. I certainly play GeoShred “guitar” better than the real thing. The ingenuity that Jordan has put into this design is giving me access to music again. Thanks! I am giving this app a 5 star rating, but I sure would like the ability to change the key or tempo of the backing tracks. I’d also like more backing tracks. Eventually I will decide to record them in GarageBand or something, but for now I am lazily enjoying the default factory blues track. I’ve experimented with using Novation’s LaunchPad + AudioBus, but there’s not a lot of blues there. Sorry I am fixated on that genre - it’s just really stuck in my head. In my opinion, this is a must have iPad music app.

Gaa-wow-zaa

This app is just so deep! I’m pretty blown away by the diatonic keyboard that lets you play the correc notes effortlessly. MIDI, MPE, temperaments, microtonality, ragas, the Sitar, the sympathetic resonator. And oh yeah, the feedback distortion guitar is over the top. It’s just so real! I don’t think I’ve gotten better value for an app in the App Store until GeoShred.

GeoShred is beyond Guitar...

What I particularly like about GeoShred is how you can stretch beyond the standard guitar cliches and really make some wicked sounding stuff. I made some presets using the Key Num and Key Step feature that really blew by ears out of the water. Look at Twisted Frets for starters. I run on an iPad2 running iOS 9.3

Yes! Universal!

I love this instrument and have been separated from my iPad. Now it's on my iPhone! And Midi!!! Thanks, Wizdom Music!!!!

Best iOS musical instrument

mantisbikr

This is one of the best musical instruments on the iPad and now the iPhone. With the addition of MIDI capabilities it expands the power and capabilities even further. If you combine this with one of the MIDI USB interface apps on iOS, you can get a seamless low latency connection to you favorite DAW on your computer. If you need support it is easy to get immediate response and help from the developers. I highly recommend this app for any musician.

THIS APP ROCKS!!!

The best app I have ever used

I am not usually one to review apps, but Jordan Rudess and Wizdom have created what I consider to be the finest app currently on the AppStore, so I feel obligated to talk about this. GeoShred isn't just some random synth app from the AppStore, but it is a full-fledged instrument. Although it takes a bit of time to properly learn all of the ins and outs of the app, it is ultimately worth it to learn. Because of its wonderful and hearty sound, I had to integrate it with my keyboard setup. Do yourself a service, and get this app!
