Replaced my fave food app with garbage

papa_corey

I miss the old food.com app. This pile of worthless pixels is useless for finding or storing recipes. If I wanted to watch videos I'd watch YouTube. Thanks for replacing an app that I used daily with this buggy, hard to use, unintuitive app, whose only apparent reason for existence is to sell advertising space. One star is generous.

Why?! Just awful. Not for today’s busy families.

angrybusymom

Liked the old app. Grocery list. My personal recipes. Easy to look up recipes. Now all of that is gone and I DON’T HAVE TIME to watch shows. Most busy families don’t have time to watch shows. THAT was the beauty of the old app. BTW, it’s obvious that most of the 4 and 5 stars listed are fake. Read the reviews. Many people caught on to that quickly. ***Anyone have any suggestions for a new app similar to the old Food app????? I’m ditching this app pronto!

Can’t get to my saved recipes

Fenwickislandsmc

On Food.com there was an icon that took me right to my saved recipes which I HAD to transfer to this App. How do I get to my recipes in the app, I have to go to genius.com and click on my pic on upper right. It then greets me as my name, BUT I still have to log in to get to my recipe box. If I didn’t have so many saved favorites, I’d probably never open this app again.

Nothing but black for video playback.

Riptide360

Found a recipe online that links to this app when I chose to save the recipe. Downloaded app. Cool list of shows, but where did my recipe go? Click on a video and it acts like it is going to play but just shows black video frame and player controls, but no vid. Disappointed and unsure what to do. Meh.

Where are the recipes?!?!

CRAZY LADYJANE

I don’t want a video...I want recipes and a Food.com back!

Dumb and worst thing ever!

Buzzin4audio

They switched from Food.com to this stupid app! They went from a mediocre app that was useful to and app that looks like its only for show! I can’t find anything useful about this app.

Useless

Teachermama1974

I desperately need my old recipe box back, and I need it on an app. I have lost over a hundred personal recipes. I used this app several times every day and depended on it for grocery lists, recipes, and meal planning. Now I’m spending all my free time looking for a replacement. I’m desperate. I don’t have time to manually compile recipes and write grocery lists! Please, everyone who used food.com, write reviews telling us your new favorite app!

Extremely disappointed

Tjg me

Update: still can’t access my recipes from food.com app. Like you promised. I’m so disappointed. You haven’t heard anything people have said. I lost so many good recipes I used in a hurry. This app is just awful disappointment Old review: You have complicated a great thing. I’ve enjoyed food.com for years. It’s simple to use, nothing splashy other than food. you can easily search neat ideas and recipes from regular people and organize your saved recipes. I believe genius kitchen is for people who want to fiddle with videos. It’s a different market. I just want to browse the community for ideas, read them and save them for later. Not watch splashy videos. I will miss food.com and will use it until it disappears. And when it does, I’ll start all over perhaps with a different app.

No thanks

materphater

I want recipes. Not videos. Can’t even get my recipe box to sync. This looks and feels like nothing more than PR I want food.com back EDIT: so u send us all a canned response?

Not sure what all the low ratings are all about

I don't pay for apps

This app is pretty simple and straight forward. I don’t find myself watching the videos because there’s an option to X out of the video once it begins, not sure a lot of people who download this app realize develops have to have some sort of company advertise on their app in order for the app developer to keep their app up and running. Otherwise it wouldn’t be free? Uhh?
