VFR filing and activating in app has never worked for me. Should integrate with Leidos. Fltplan.com integration is cumbersome and not beneficial. The syncing of aircraft is not fluid and having to hop back and forth depending on what aircraft parameters you wish to modify is ridiculous. I was unable to fly with this before my trial expired. Asked for an extension and was told no so I purchased it hoping for the best and regret it. It is just not a fluid tool, too much hopping around compared to ForeFlight, FlyQ and iFlyGPS all of which I prefer over this EFB.

Was working like a champ for months and suddenly within the last 2 weeks it started crashing every 10 second haven’t been able to use the app for 2 weeks now. Please address this issue and fix it.

The application is excellent and easy to use. Been using it since the beginning. However, the integration with FlightPlan.com, seems like an after thought. Nothing more than a link to a web site - still has advertising embedded in it. I was hoping 9.7 would support procedures, but it doesn’t and can’t work with any GTN to iPad procedure. It’s so bad, I removed the icon from the home screen. No - it’s still behind Foreflight....a very good second.

The newest update has rendered this app useless at best, dangerous if you do not carry backup paper charts. There is no longer airport information, it will not open when selected and you cannot even get to it in the radial menu. I cannot load any airport information even if I am using WiFi. Garmin really needs to rest their updates before sending them out, fortunately I caught the issue before I got in the air. For a product that has worked well I am thoroughly disappointed, and will not renew my subscription should these issues not be addressed.

Many pilots I know fly with foreflight but they are missing out. Garmin pilot is more complete, easier to use and will also run on Android. Admittedly i dont frequently run it on Android but its a nice option. The integration with the Garmin watch is great and even better with the garmin ads-b in my plane visualizing traffic in real-time. The only downside i see is that it is getting slower as new versions come out on my slowly aging ipad. Sometimes parts of my screen dont get repainted very well, hopefully garmin addresses slowness on 2-3 year old ipads soon.

Trial doesn't do anything except force the user to create a Garmin account and buy a subscription. I was expecting a map or something else to try, but got nothing. Even Help doesn't load. Is this the expected behavior of the trial mode or did the app get broken in this version? Back to Foreflight for another year...

I have been flying for a long time. This makes it too easy to plan flights and navigate.

The new update effectively blows Foreflight out of the water! Garmin pilot has integrated everything within the app seamlessly making for a very user-friendly product. Everything is easy to read and find within the app and the updated map makes it even better.
