This app is outdated and drops well behind competitors like Waze. I couldn’t even use this app to navigate to a state park in NH called The Flume. This app won’t find that location and that’s really quite pathetic when this is a paid app with a reputable name like Garmin. Definitely not worth the money as I’ve had issues with other locations as well. ??

Adequate app, but not for the cost.

Longstanding user on multiple iOS/iPhone versions (currently 7+/iOS 11). Recent versions of app don’t seem to be able to successfully save/store my home location (BTW, they should really add a work location quick button). While navigation appears to be fairly reliable, I’ve noticed that it tends to completely fall apart in the Rockville, MD area (I’m in Washington, DC). It also has a lot of difficulty teasing apart surface street / underground freeway localization (e.g. Downtown Boston) & doesn’t seem to like surface streets under elevated freeways that much, either. I really do expect more from one of the more expensive apps on the app store

iOS 10 update killed this app!

So I have used (and loved) this app for years and I have dealt with some of the growing pains and glitchy-ness in the past. At this point, it has been over a year since the last app update so the maps are becoming dated and worse, after updating to iOS 10 the app has large black areas on the maps and the landscape view has the icons in the middle of the map. Either Garmin needs to decide they want to support this app or they don't and take it off the market, but this half pregnant approach is for the birds! Let's see if they want to stay in the GPS business or let Apple an Google take over because that's what they are doing by not supporting their software.

New maps badly needed

The app works great with iOS 11 and it worked great with the iPhone 7 and it works great with the iPhone X, I use the heads up display which works fine. However the maps are over a year-old now and very badly need updating!!! If it was not for that, I would rate it five stars easily!

Outdated maps need update

When Tom Tom stopped supporting their nav app, I needed a replacement w the integrated maps and downloaded Garmin N America. While i like the Tom Tom driving instructions better, the Garmin app works well on my iPhone 7. Tom Tom sometimes has a lag, but Garmin seems to be more responsive. But Garmin very much needs to update their outdated maps. It can’t find some addresses and even roads that are not new. As a result I still sometimes use the old Tom Tom app. With better driving instructions and updated maps, Garmin could be 4-5 stars.
