A digital version of a choose your own adventure book - the game forces too much backtracking due to deaths by bad luck and random choices made without enough information. The writing for this particular book is a little flat and cliched with too many bits of borrowed elements from other sources (Indiana Jones movies being repeatedly lifted from throughout). Price is a little steep as well for what you get.

I always loved Choose Your Own Adventure books, and this app gives me what I was looking for! Thanks for making these great games!

This is the second Gamebook I've played. The combat seemed easier with companions. I enjoyed the story. Worth the price.

Like all game books, this is a great game worth getting. But it is among the worst in the series because of the phobia checks. They are stupid and pointless.

I was a big fan of the "Fighting Fantasy" game books when I was a young kid in the early '80s and this adventure took me on a pleasant nostalgic trip. The adventure is well-written and offers the reader an entertaining read! I look forward to reading the other Gamebook Adventures!

Of all the Tin Man gamebooks I have purchased I enjoyed this one most. The phobia checks were and added element to the story making it that much more interesting. There were just enough options in this story for it to feel as if you had a good deal of control. The only caveat is that you had to get a lot of things right to get the good ending to this story. It will take a lot of time to get through this one but it's worth it. Good job!

As a long time player of Fighting Fantasy and others, I was glad to see TMG taking their own direction on it. Spider God is a really solid adventure, a lot of fun... Except for the bad combat system (even in Casual mode you cannot win without a lot of cheat-healing) and an error that you cannot have the sacrificial kinfe and also win the book. Still. A fun adventure well worth a couple of bucks.
