"The mighty city of Falavia, the military backbone of Orlandes, is under attack from an army lead by a man claiming to be a God. How did this come to pass you ask yourself? You're sure it all started as some innocent adventure in search of treasure but somehow it turned into a nightmare. Also, why are people staring at you strangely? It’s not as if you look like you've recently been brought back from the dead or something. Oh yes, that's right. You remember now... "

‎"Arguably the best of the Gamebook Adventure series released so far by Tin Man Games, Revenant Rising combines polished gameplay mechanics with an original storyline, flinging you between the world of the living and the dead and back again. Stylish graphics only add to the atmosphere to be enjoyed both on the iPhone and the iPad." - Touch My Apps

"My favourite examples so far though are the iPad and iPhone-compatible Gamebook Adventures, a series of lovingly crafted and extremely well-written interactive fantasy novels. It's surprisingly engrossing stuff, the economically written narrative packing in masses of detail, while rattling out a pacy, involving story." - The Guardian

"The true gem, and the reason these are next iteration choose your own adventure books, is the dice component in the overall story." - 148Apps

Tin Man Games Strikes Again

A fantastic new addition to the Gamebook family. The app store really needs more developers serving up games that are this good. Totally addictive and highly entertaining. The battle system is so unique and well suited for the game and the story is so engaging. A must-have!

Always a winner!
Dayangel449

I have all three of the other apps these developers have and I absolutely love them all. If choose your own adventure books and D&D had a child... This is exactly what they would get. This particular one though has a few misspellings and I dont know why but they changed their pictures... Bring the old illustratore back pls, the new ones just look way too cartoon like. However, keep making these and I will defiantly keep buying them!

Surprises
TBobo

The storyline it full of surprises. The path is still a little narrow, but the good writing makes up for it.

I'm enjoying the hell outta this!

This is a really fun adventure read with plenty of dead ends, but such a fun story that I MUST keep trying :)

Amazing story
madam_octa

I've been following Gamebook Adventures for a while now, and I have to say that, although each of them are great apps, the first one was my favourite due to an amazing story. Well this book just replaced Assassin in that spot, the story is really engaging, original and keeps you at an edge of your seat during the whole playthrough. I only wish it could last a bit longer, some parts seem a bit rushed, but it's still an amazing game and you should absolutely get it if you are a fan of the genre.

Another amazing gamebook adventure!

Took advantage of the sale and this was the only one from the series I was missing. I love the quality of the Gamebook Adventures series and have been a fan since the first one. Great job Tin Man Games! I just finished playing this gamebook adventure and I must say that it is one of the most enjoyable in the series. The story had a few good twists and a nice change of scenery as opposed to the blander dungeon crawling ones. I would say if you had to choose only one of the gamebook adventures, then this would be the one to choose! =]

So much fun!

This game book really is an amazing piece of work. When you think you're finished the book tosses another curve at you that just gets you craving for more! Seriously so so so much fun, and I'm a girl! I love playing dungeons and dragons so if you can't game all the time, this is a perfect way to satisfy that nerdy side of you. Well worth the money.

High production values...unfair dice rolls
Poohboy

This book/game is very clever and well designed. The interface is top notch, graphics are great. But the AI dice rolling is brutal. I am playing on easiest setting and have lost in every battle in past four tries. The AI seems to roll 6's at least 50% of the time.

Good but too short
Dude named Ben

My first adventure book purchase. Bought it while on sale and am glad I did. lots of ambiance and well written. Only complaint is that it seemed very shot. You see a lot of "turn to page 486" and what not, giving you the impression there are hundreds of pages and perhaps many hours of enjoyment. This is not the case. I was through it in a 2 hour sitting. I had hoped for more. Will I buy the others in the series? Likely yes but I will be waiting for them to be on sale at 0.99 cents. $4.99 just seems too high for such a short book. If it were a long rambling adventure I would feel differently. I am comparing this to games that have kept both myself and the kids busy for weeks on end for the same outlay.

Really liked it
Tocobaby

Fun game with a good story really want to play the others! When's the next sale? 25$ for the lot is a lil steep for me.
