I figured you could do work outs with getting a coach. They let you do one day of workout and then You have to pay to do more. One day is not enough time to see if it’s something I’m willing to pay for.

Literally have JUST signed into the app and it asks me how the app is. BEFORE I have a chance to even use it.

That’s the kicker. It’s called FREEletics, but it’s a subscription service. It’s a subscription service for what used to be a workout wall poster, a pencil and paper for saving fitness notes, and a calendar. It’s a paid subscription to have those things in your pocket in digital format. It takes a simple concept and adds sh*tstack after sh*tstack of unreasonable in-app purchases. “Free” shouldn’t be in the name. As for how the app works, I don’t know. I’m too broke to subscribe to simple data saved electronically on my iPhone.

It was great for the first workout. I could even ignore the annoying ads. But on day two you could not get to the next workout. Kept redirecting you to the paywall. Definitely not a free app.

So, apparently I’m the only one here who got goofed. Or maybe there was just a glitch in the system. But as of now, about 6 months ago I purchased the 3-Month Coach plan for this app. I want to say about 2 months in I got rid of the app and canceled the subscription. I know I canceled it because the option to cancel it in my “Subscriptions” in my Apple ID settings was gone. And there were the same other subscription options that would show if you were to cancel an app so the app could have a chance of pulling you back in. Anyways, three months later I was notified from my CC that I was charged the 37$ for the 3-Month coach plan, THAT I HAD ALREADY CANCELED. When I went into my settings to check, the app was still placed in the “Active Subscriptions” even though when I went into the information it acted as if I had already canceled it, which I had! Well now it’s the third charge around and I’m sick of this. This app is charging me without my permission and this is a warning to others that I would try to look for better fitness apps. No matter how official this one looks. Thank you. And to any creators if you could please help, ACTUALLY, cancel my subscription that would be much appreciated.

This seems like a really good program. There’s a lot of it that I like. But to be honest, I didn’t use it that much my first year with it. Then the renewal happened for another year for $140! I forgot that it was coming. I contacted customer support the same day it happened because I had no plans to use this app, I just wasn’t committed enough. Plus, it really wasn’t in my budget to pay for a whole year all at once. They replied with “Unfortunately, I'm unable to refund you for recurring Coach subscription payments according to our policies.” I responded by saying I’d be willing to pay for a week or even a month. But I never heard back from them. If you sign up for the Coach subscription, just keep track of when it renews because they won’t help you once it happens.
